Hunter will be a STAT STICK at higher lvls anyways just gey used to using it.

People will tell you to git gud and kite but the reality is that you can’t use it, it’s not good enough to merit using right now. 25% damage would have been fine, but they had to nerf this instead of just nerfing the 30% crit on Sniper Training which would have been fine. There’s no world in which level 25 pets would ever do less than 15% of a hunter’s damage.
I think it’s hilarious to think back to their big reveal of this game when the lady suggested that we could use Lone Wolf with our melee spec. I challenge anyone to go try that out right now and see how little damage you do.

Which in it own right is okay. I always thought Hunter pets should give buffs to give hunter more then damage. But with Lion, game need other play styles for players who don’t want be a stat stick.
I would if I had the 5 gold and balls to go to Ratchet. I’ve been playing Mhunter as it different. I was hoping do a LoneWolf archer (wish hunter had a stealth rune to complete the set) but as said, LW is garbage and classic hunter, especially at this level is bad without pet

Pretty sure this was the original intent until they realized it was a contradiction to the already laid out flanking strike which synergizes with your pet.

Maybe, but it’s not like flanking strike is really usable either. It does weapon DPS damage and pet DPS rather than 100% damage. So it’s doing about half of what it should be doing on both ends. Probably the worst rune in the game, right up there with the new explosive shot.
Whatever their original vision was for Hunter, it wasn’t met. There is no synergy. And the last bastion of hope for having any fun with the class is beastmaster, which everyone is constantly complaining about because they can’t stand dying to pets.
Godspeed, melee friend. I can’t stand doing such low DPS knowing that our scaling is going to cause us to be even lower as we go up in levels.
My hope was she answered thinking of all runes in later phases we don’t know about. I really hope Lv.40 melee hunter has abilities and identity.

You’re not wrong. I’m level 20 and I’m starting to feel it. Before I was doing as much as a War but now I hurt being melee.
I want try something different then being a pet class like I am on Retail. I was hoping solo Archer as said but that a no go as of right now so melee I want.
I’m thinking of trying Rogue (never played) or suck it up and go meta hunter.
Meta BM hunter feels bad because every day people are begging for it to be nerfed, not realizing it’s the only viable spec we have. Unless you have a guild that has already guaranteed you a raid spot, people are not looking to take non-meta hunters into BFD. I see a lot of pre-made PVP groups also not allowing them in.

Current design for Aspect of the Lion is very bad and could use a design change. One of the main thing is that it should NOT be an Aspect.

If they would give tauren the ability to be paladins and Dwarves the ability to be shamans, this could all be fixed. Take AotL back out and replace it with a viable rune for dual wielding melee. Like instant RS that scales to your weapon speed and damage. Faster weapon you have, the more chances you have to proc FS. Nice and easy, everyone goes home for Christmas
