Oh wow… who could have ever foreseen this completely unexpected turn of events?
My expectations were totally subverted.

Uh… technically all racial leaders that have become raid bosses have survived though. Garrosh sure as hell didn’t die as part of Siege of Orgrimmar. And, unfortunately, Sylvanas is very much still alive. In fact, the only racial leader deaths have all technically been either off screen (poor Cairn) or cinematic ala Vol’jin and Varian.
read my post again please
Last I checked gallywix did everything to deserve to be one tho. But alright sure…
To be fair, Gallywix didn’t have his characterization completely murdered, much like Garrosh and Sylvanas. In fact he’s hardly been in the lore…at all.
In this case I don’t mind so much because Gallywix never gave me a reason to care if he sticks around or not.
If they do that to Rokhan then I will believe that blizz hates the horde. I am hoping this is just laziness and wanting to get rid of gallywix on their part because he is currently a weak character to keep around. He used to be a fun character but not anymore, really no use keeping him around.
But I do hope after that blizz leaves horde leaders alone, they can use that Stormgarde lady or something.
*which will happen offscreen, and we will have to be assured by the narrative team that despite what we see in-game, in cinematics or whatnot, the Alliance actually won.
This.
I was pretty upset with Thrall giving Gally leadership after everything he did to Goblins. Imo, Gallywix should have been dead at the end, so I’m happy we finally get some justice.
I mean…was there even one of us who feels anything for gallywix but contempt?
Im surprised he wasn’t a loot pinata during BFA. he certainly deserved it. And Motherlode hinted at his gross blubbery influence on the Horde and how he, after ignoring us since Cata, was now out to con us into farming Azerite for him.
The only reason i think we never went after him, as the HORDE, is he ran off with the profits and screwed over Sylvannas and she was absolutely the bigger threat at the time.
We were always going to have to deal with him - ESPECIALLY THE BILGEWATERS. He nearly got them all wiped out multiple times. They, not the alliance, have the biggest bone to pick with him.
He was still introduced as a Horde racial leader, and is even still shown on the Kalimdor loading screen on the Horde side.
Sylvanas wasn’t part of the Horde in Shadowlands, but we still considered her a Horde character.
I’m usually one of those people that jumps on that the game is Alliance bias because it mostly is but in this case meh.
I call dibs on his place in Azsura! Mini golf free for all who want to play!
If you played through the Goblin start area, you realize this would be a victory for Goblins
You’re not wrong… and yet, if you’re a dedicated Alliance player, it somehow feels like Alliance still are losing. Somehow.
It’s a testament to the appallingly horrible level of skill the writers have. I genuinely no longer care about faction. Horde players wanna line up every Alliance leader and shoot them and have Alliance characters in story be Horde Slaves - have fun. Just don’t screw up my raid tier.
BFA/SL/DF and even TWW to a large extent have some of the worst storytelling I’ve seen from Blizzard ever.
I do think Metzen was able to save some of TWW though since I know he didn’t have time to work on it directly… but he clearly steered the ship in a better direction, given the jump of quality between DF & TWW in a story sense.
The story is always changing/moving on.
Is Garrosh a Horde character?
No, he hasn’t been since the end of MoP.
Just because they started out on a faction doesn’t mean they always will be part of said faction- that’s just stupid.
That’s like saying Arthas is still Alliance.
Or Kael’thas is a Horde character or whatever.
Leaders can ditch their factions.
Plus, if you’ve played through the goblin starting zone, Gallywix has always been trying to kill you lmao. He doesn’t even hide how much he hates the player.
It’s about damn time we got to put him down.
I’m not disagreeing, he should have been a boss in Cata.
However, he was a Horde racial leader at some point and I’m happy we’re putting him down.
Victory for the Alliance, Victory for the Horde, and Victory for the Goblin Cartels.
But more importantly, a victory against a certain angry blood elf mage poster that is surprisingly quiet on the matter.
Isn’t it already? From BfA engineering. Or is it a reskin/ new model?
They’re pretty different lol.

vs.
It’s a wholly new model.
As a Horde roleplayer, I am very happy to put this ex-Horde leader down. This guy refused to rescue people until they were exploited into slavery from the island that was exploding behind them. Mount Vesuvius and your entire life savings PLUS your freewill are the price. Yeah no, he’s got to go.
Yup I definitely missed that. Holy that thing is insane.
