Another Healing Surge Buff

Does the 25% actually equal 25%? Or is this one of those things where the nerfed pvp healing doesn’t actually give us a full 25%?

25% is 25%.

It’s 25% stronger than it is now.

So still not worth using?

It’s a 19% buff.

It was already +5% in pvp.

Now it’s +25% in pvp.

125/105 = 119%.

It currently has no pvp modifier. The enhancement shaman hidden passive is 20% with a pvp multiplier of 0. This makes it 120% in pve and 100% in pvp. It will be 125% in pvp afterwards.

The patch notes from a couple months ago said they made enhance healing surge +5% in PvP (previously -12% in PvP). There may be another modifier somewhere.

PvP

Gladiator's Distinction (Trinket Set Bonus): Primary stat for DPS and tank specializations is now increased by 12% (was 20%) when in Arenas, Battlegrounds, and War Mode
Druid
    Balance
Stellar Flare backlash damage increased by 8%
    Feral
Regrowth healing is no longer reduced in PvP Combat (was reduced by 20%)
Hunter
    Marksmanship
Aimed Shot now deals 40% additional damage in PvP (was 25%)
Rapid Fire now deals 30% additional damage in PvP (was 20%)
Paladin
    Holy
Mana regeneration is now reduced by 35% in PvP combat (was 25%)
Shaman
    Enhancement
Healing Surge healing is now increased by 5% in PvP combat (was reduced by 12%)

The tooltips on wow head give the current modifiers so that may have changed.

Wowhead tooltip may not be right. At least according to blizzard patch notes it is currently +5% in PvP.

Wowhead has stormstrike w/no PvP multiple either.

I don’t think wowhead PvP modifiers are reliable.

I think that it is absolutely still worth using. I think that a lot of people are more used to a different version of enh like in shadowlands where it was basically a second healer and it’s just not that anymore.

Definitely a lot weaker accordingly in shuffle, though.

right now you don’t even play focused insight most of the time which is a 30% healing surge buff
(for more reasons than its bonus being negligible)

BUT it’s possible that this buff makes taking that talent worth it
and them compounding might make healing surge feel noticeably impactful

which then obviously makes us think about the cancer that is stormweaver

SWs biggest issue is that it’s extremely weighed down by the heavy negative modifier on maelstrom weapons healing bonus since sws bonus is based on maelstrom specifically
but it’s maybe??? possible the buff + the talent make it worth playing sw over lust/burrow
which is both potentially sick
and probably annoying because sw is very clunky

ultimately if you’re primarily a shuffle player you probably aren’t stoked

The pvp coefficients are correct. You’re not seeing a 1.6 multillier for stormstrike as you are linking the spell effect that does not handle damage. The first 3 effects of the spellid you linked are trigger spell and the first 2 spellids handle damage application. These have a 1.6 multiplier.

On the one hand, I’d happy to see healing surge go up 25% on Tuesday instead of 19%. On the other hand, it would mean Blizzard didn’t give it the buff they said they did in December.

Weird though, because in December, before the buff, they said it was at -12% in PvP so you would think it would either be -12% (if the change wasn’t implemented) or +5% right now, not 0%. Which makes me wonder if there is another spellid affecting healing surge in PvP that people aren’t seeing.

Can someone link the wowhead spellid that is supposedly controlling enhance healing surge in PvP so we can see if it actually goes up 25% on Tuesday?

My healing surge hitting PvP dummy is only hitting for 5% more than when hitting PvE dummy.

Even though my PvP ilvl (488) is way higher than PvE ilvl (460).

I wonder if the healing surge buff in December never went through and it is currently at -12% in PvP.

If so, cross your fingers than we are about to see a 40% buff or w/e…

All 3 specs share the same healing surge. Since it’s the same for all 3, it will be adjusted spec by spec using the hidden passive.

As stated before, there is a 20% boost with a pvp modifier of 0, so it is 120% in pve and 100% in pvp. For pvp to be healing 5% more than pve in your testing, it would have to be at 126%.
