To be honest the progression in this game is pretty much broken mess.
People have found other fun things to do than run WoW: Casino
If they put Thrall back as the leader and offer Night Elves significant reparations as a peace deal, then I’ll be quite satisfied.
Honestly, I’l go one step further. Along with those reparations and Thrall being Warchief (as well as Saurfang actually SURVIVING to live out an honorable life of Service to his people; and penance for the mistakes he’s made) … let something actually come from Aviana’s work the last 4 expansions. In Cata she was trying to nurse G’Hanir back to health, and by Legion (once the Nightmare receded) it seems as though she has made immense progress. So … have something come of it.
Have the NEs get a new World Tree, but not merely another cutting of Nordrassil. Let it be a genuine symbol of healing and rebirth, and the best way to do that is for their new World Tree to be a genuine sibling (not a child) of Nordrassil. Give them the first, healthy acorn from a healed and reborn G’Hanir … and let them turn that into their future home (wherever they may plant it). They could always make another cutting of Nordrassil, but a seed of the Mother Tree is something else.
The fact that the Forsaken lost a valkyr it’s kind of a big deal. Many like to downplay this, but the 4 they had (now 3 I believe) are the only thing keeping them alive. I like to call valkyr the “hearts at the top right of the screen” of the forsaken, and 3 hearts in the current situation are not as much as they might seem.
Undercity it’s gone too, and unlike the Night elves getting back Lor’danel, the Forsaken didn’t get Brill back.
And not only that; technically speaking, they have the Vindicaar available to them… a death laser.
Then the blight comes to mind, but there’s only so much area that can cover, while the spaceship could easily nuke the Horde from orbit (literally) without even catching the smell of the blight.
Which in a way shows another side effects of how they making the Alliance so strong backfires: They have to flat out ignore some of the things the Alliance has or have Alliance characters being dumber than Horde ones to justify the survival of the faction.
All in all, it benefits no one.
I’d like to know this as well. I’ve seen some people suggest the horde should be subservient to the alliance. How many people do they think want to play alliance slaves?
I wouldn’t count on defeating that threat in this expansion… or the next. BFA is just setting the stage for something much much larger. I’ve suspected for awhile now that they intend to end this with a “Nobody Wins, everybody loses” ending. The details emerging from 8.2 are just firming this up.
Am I the only one bothered by just how easy it would have been to justify the Vindicaar’s absence? The Legion is gone, for the first time in thousands of years the Draenei (a decimated people) don’t have to look over their shoulders and focus on rebuilding. They also have an actively working Naru ship. The idea that they wouldn’t jump at the idea of recovering the Tempest Keep and start migrating what remains of their people on Outlands; back to their new home of Azeroth … isn’t that big of a stretch.
Yeah, its a “You’re spaceship is in another castle” situation, but it would at least be a justified one with just how exhausted the Draenei were after Legion.
So you’re actually mad at the horde players?
Alliance of Lorderon <> The Grand Alliance.
She was stopped because Thrall intervened. Are you familiar with the term “attempted murder”?
It carries a charge of several years for most places around the world even though the criminal didn’t end up killing the person. Weird.
Also just because Sylvanas did that in the past doesn’t mean it’s provocation when the peace treaty WAS SIGNED AFTER THAT HAPPENED. Genn had no reason to attack those ships yet he did playing a huge part in justifying Sylvanas’ actions and being partly responsible for the blood shed.
What do you want to happen?
Probably dismantling the Horde, executing all prominent members, turning orcs into slaves (again), getting to raid Origrimmar (again) and forcing Blood Elves to renounce their namesakes and return to being High elves so the Alliance can play them.
Just to name a few.
For that whole post I would give you all my up votes for a week, were it possible.
I want Thrall to return as Warchief. He was a good dude
I started this on Saturday.
Yeah but your side isn’t winning, so yeah war crimes
I assume you mean besides losing Undercity, (not that we cared) AND you assassinating a foreign king, thus cementing his kingdoms loyalty for us (thanks for that btw)?
Preach…
Actually it’s the survivors that write history, and apparently we aren’t going anywhere so those Elves obviously burned themselves alive as a protest against Malfurion abandoning them. We were just their for humanitarian reasons. Promise!
