Another Divine Toll nerf?

Is this another Divine Toll nerf???

" Conduits

  • The extra spells from Ringing Clarity (Kyrian) now have a longer delay between hits. Additionally, area-of-effect Judgment hits from Divine Toll are no longer reduced by 25% in PvP, and Judgment triggered from Ringing Clarity is reduced by 25% in PvP."

It makes Divine Toll do slightly more damage in PvP, and somebody said it procs Lawbringer again, but it’s not all delivered at quite the same time. So, burst is slightly down, total damage is up.

I was thinking the same thing.

Now just need the Convoke / Fire Mage / WW damage nerfs and we’ll be good.

Damage is only up if you are hitting multiple targets unless I don’t understand it. Maybe thats good for RBGs but not good for Arenas.

If we get multiple procs of Lawbringer it’s a damage upgrade. If not, it’s only a damage upgrade against multiple targets if Ringing Clarity does not proc.

Because you can get more judge amp’d templars than before bc it was just 1

Unless it does it really slowly, I don’t see that being an advantage. If you do it right you can always follow up 1 Judgement after the initial, this adds at most 1 additional Judgement and I’m not sure it’ll even be within FR.

It is .5 sec per judge, plenty of time for a templars.

Lets say you’re doing 2500 damage on a judgment, thats now 5,000-10,000 per target in your divine toll. While Ringing Clarity is still hitting for 16,250-32,500 depending on crits (this is including base damage from Divine Toll.)

Thats still a good amount of burst, and it generates you Holy Power. Final Reck + Divine Toll is still going to put enemy teams on the defensive (if you haven’t done your complete set up) or still put you in the same if not better situation as before this nerf to Ringing Clarity.

Where are you pulling this 5000 from? Lawbringer already works on the initial Judgement of Divine Toll.

Yes, but its proccing on the 3rd judge now as well unlike on live.

Ah, so it’s proccing on all or just a couple of them?

The initial burst damage has been reduced, however the fact that it now casts once every GCD means it’s possible to get multiple TVs, or FVs, with the judgment buff. While that doesn’t seem like a lot, the bonus judgment procc during the FR window and the bonus damage from Templar’s Vindication now working properly means you can potentially deal a few thousand more damage than you normally would.

Kyrian will continue to be the powerhouse going forward.

Sweet to know.

You are already able to fit another Judgement afterwards, this will add at most only one Judgement buff.

Even 1 extra judgment is a bonus 25% ontop of the FR 30%. If you choose to run Divine Purpose instead of Seraphim, you can even make all 3 with some luck.

As a Pally main, I believe this is a good change.

It just slows the initial burst from Ringing Clarity and reduces it by 25%.

Will still be huge fan but will allow a bit more reaction for counterplay.

It’s good to see Blizz using a light touch w buffs and nerfs for a change.

I just saw a skill capped vid, and they said it’s also a 25 % nerf to the judgment that is being casted. That sucks

Well there is so far no indication that Lawbringer will actually begin to proc on retail. Maybe it will but that seems like a hope at best.

I guess I don’t understand your point here at all. Why was it only 1?
