Another Battleground Complaint

Please stop the70’s ruining the random battlegrounds. All we want to do is have fun and play fair. No chance with 70s coming back to lower levels and annihilating all of us lower classes trying to earn gear. How does ganking us help us to be proactive in battlegrounds on fairness against level 70 players with all the bells and whistles attached. It doesn’t. It is boring and enough to just hide away till the game ends. We all have rights to get gear. But, none of us will get it if this continues. Not everyone raids, not everyone has the elitist’s gear from having farming characters to get the best gear for there characters. Make it fairer. Make it so 70’s cant enter anything other than 70 battlegrounds. I like to level from 10-70 in battlegrounds. But not at the moment. And there is lots of people that have had enough. Give back our battleground levels Blizzard no 70’s to enter.
Cheers.

how many empty/grey gear slots does your alt have? trying to “earn gear” in bgs is an experiment in futility.
gear your alt first, then pvp. not the other way around.

You didn’t read a single thing they posted, did you?

This does nothing to stop even a boosted level 70 from joining a low level battleground and 1 shot everything. That is hypocritical of of you saying, “gear up your toon (even if at max level) then queue for Bgs).” Unless you are saying a boosted level 70 worked hard, geared up, and then queued low level bgs to perform well.

Demonlady is right to say that Blizzard cares nothing about leveling outside of the current expansion and that includes BGs. Which blows my mind because then how are they supposed to attract new players?

Welp, see you guys in SoD I guess

i did and every one of these threads come down to the same thing. players at the bottom of the bracket blaming partysync for them losing. these threads might as well be called “groups of players level x8 in BoAs are ruining leveling bgs”.
it sounds silly right?
the op didn’t even touch on the only issue which is syncd players keeping higher level talents while syncd down. the bug forum is more appropriate for this thread.

No, what sounds silly is a level 70 playing against low level players. A real ID friend wanted me to queue with his level 61 alt. and I couldn’t do it, just seems cheap and cringe.

There is 3 solutions.

  • Stop Part Sync in PVP.
  • No Honor for 70’s in lower brackets. (No honor unless you are at the appropriate level for the battleground even)
  • Sort the mess that is the talent trees with Party Sync and the scaling down.

I’ve reported this crap in the bug forums since the start of the expansion on another character so it does not matter where it is posted. They have done absolutely nothing about it.

Just came out of a 40-49 bracket BG and a 70 Pandaren Prot warrior with 24000 hp could not be killed his health did not move and that is with no healer. It’s an absolute joke.

What has gear got to do with it? When you are up against that BS.

IF IT WAS A PVE PROBLEM IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SORTED WITHIN A WEEK.

deth isnt even permanent in battlegrounds you still can get honor if you walk into the enemy and die over and over until the game ends

Your second point is kind of mute, the 70s that I know that only do sub 70 pvp are not good players and don’t want fair fights. They are not in it for the honor

The other points should be fixed already but blizz is ignoring it

Again the only players I know of that do it are actually really bad but the scaling down makes them op in that bracket

Horde has been losing all day in the 60 bracket. Now their 70s are coming out to play. Takes almost a whole team to kill one healer, and this is supposed to be fair and balanced gameplay lol.

And before someone says they don’t balance low level, they’ve done a terrible job balancing 70 PVP and that is them trying…

My second point is moot. I just boosted to 70 and I have no honor points, what should I do I wonder? Go into level 70 bgs and get wrecked or go into the low levels and do the wrecking, and gain honor?

I agree they are mediocre players, I’ve never actually done a Party Sync as a 70, no interest in it at all.

Yep, sure can. I prefer to play objectives and try to win.

Just don’t do low level pvp.

Pay a sub to do PVP but the advice is not to do low level PVP.

Right.

He’s right, though. Low level’s messed up without a lot of grinding or investment, though aside from 20s it’s not personal observation. It’s still reasonable to grind honor 61-69, you lose a lot but treat it like a game to see how many you can kill while losing. I killed 23 while being GY camped once, probably my best.

Low-level is where most people start off their PVP journey. Encouraging new blood into battle should be a priority, not something placed on a back burner. Yes, it will always be competitive and brutal because it’s the nature of the beast.

I play low level because, for the most part, I enjoy it. It really needs a fresh outlook but it will never happen. There are probably millions of posts about this subject over the years.

there is a difference between pvping and becoming a pvper, most people may try pvping at low levels, but it is usually level capped players burnt out on pve who choose to become pvpers.

thats not to say i haven’t done low level pvp, i get the appeal, but its not like the tutorial mode or anything. the general issue with using “the new player experience” as an argument is that it is subjective as to which new player experience is best. if you take a typical modern game, they will give you an easy win and make you feel like MVP on your first try, the goal in this design is to attempt to hook you in so you buy more DLC. while other games like Elden Ring and Armored Core will put you on hard mode without a manual or help right from the start, overcoming the challenge is the goal in this design.

PVP shares the latter design, you can research, and you can watch videos, but at a certain point you have to go in and take your licks learning to play. the new player experience can’t be one that caters to making them feel good artificially, it needs to be genuine.

I liked healing but felt bad playing dps, it was part of learning the character or learning a different class before going into max level. I missed most of SLands but it seemed like the talent trees hurt the most, like it was set up to heal dungeons and not BGs. I think they can resolve a lot of problems if they reverted the scaling changes they made when they level squished.

Fair enough and I get that, I did say it’s the nature of the beast.

However, having 70s coming down to a low level and dominating via Party Sync is not competitive gameplay. Some of them are impossible to kill and the health bar does not even move. New players will just come in and go stuff this, back to PVE for me, and that’s what most of them do.

The dwindling numbers in PVP speak for themselves. Something needs to change.
