Another alliance-coded expansion

Elves, elves everywhere.

Why even bother, lets rename this freaking game to World of Alliancecraft for once.

Isn’t like 90% of the horde blood elf?

There are many Horde players who simply see Blood elves as Alliance who are wannabe horde. Or at least a loud vocal minority.

Blood Elves have been Horde since 2006 :dracthyr_shrug:

Literally a cinematic featuring Horde characters in a Horde location and it’s not enough.

I am a firm believer of Alliance favortism and bias, but nothing in this trailer at all has lead me to believe Midnight will be alliance favored. Alliance didnt even have anything it was all blood elf and void. Stop being dramatic for attention and ask your parents to pay attention to you for once.

We also just had a whole patch about goblins which are also a Horde race.

Because it’s not about faction favouritism, to them it’s about complaining to sound edgy. The result, they look like fools.

I’d hardly call this ā€˜Alliance-coded’. The cinematic only showed Horde characters while keeping whoever comes to the Blood Elves aid a mystery.

And this is the first expansion where a main hub gives the Horde full access while limiting areas the Alliance can go. That is literally giving the Horde more content than the Alliance does by design. There is no new world content exclusive to the Alliance here.

An expansion focused on Blood Elves and their homeland is somehow Alliance-coded?

Okay…

I mean, you’re wrong, but okay.

Nah. It’s gonna be goblin focused.

I’m going to very loudly remind all the elves this when I spam enough Explosive Shots to deafen them for weeks. And enough Hot Potatos to pelt them with to remind them how us gobs have a good time.

Yeah and now the Alliance get to take over a Horde capital city too and use it as their hub

The Alliance are not taking over Quel’Thalas. They’re being ā€˜tolerated’ in the loosest of terms. The notes specifically state that certain areas will only be accessible to the Horde, meaning that the Horde will not only have more content than the Alliance in this expansion, but Alliance players will be openly looked down on in a main hub city for the first time in the game’s existence.

Because the ā€œalliance favoritismā€ people don’t actually care about exalting good things in the Horde, they only care about trashing the Alliance. All of this content is ā€œalliance-codedā€ because it’s not about murder and destruction and those are the only possibilities that they let themselves consider: that they’re destroying the Alliance, or that they are the Alliance.

Which is a shame, because there are some interesting bits on the Horde if you can get past the murder.
