These 6 month subs donāt tempt me tbh. Store mounts are too easily obtainable to feel valuable in game. Some good incentive to save money if anything.
Ngl, I do wish we got these mounts from in game events/etc instead.

this pretty much sums up your thread and your posts in it.
its still a free mount for me, and i love it, so they did follow my, and many others, feedback on it. i do the 6mo sub, im going to be playing anyway, it also lets me play TBCC and costs less per month. and to get these mounts, i pay nothing extra over what i was already paying, all i had to do to get it was click a claim button.
when you go to the grocery store and they have a special where you spend $100 on groceries, they give you a free toaster, do you get mad at that and say you had to pay $100 on a toaster? thats basically what you are doing now.

Youāre right to Simply reward someone for doing something they were probably going to do anyway is completely absurd!
Every now and then my boss brings in breakfast in the morning for all of us just because everybody has been doing a good job lately. I probably need to tell him to stop donāt I? I mean Iām sure thereās a couple crazy people I work with that could see what heās doing as a dirty trick. Crazy people would hes just making incentive to not call off and show up on time but the majority of us donāt. We are just thankful heās doing it
I have been on a 6-month subscription for the past few years. Even before they started offering any type of reward. Mainly because it offered the best discount on the monthly subscription and I happen to like my free mounts. Iām sorry you donāt

Itās about putting cool new unique swag behind in game activities to get people to participate in said activities and not for just getting stuff for swiping.
Itās crazy to think that some people get angry over free stuff.

It could have been in the game itself behind a cool questline or a treasure hunt and a reskin of it could have went to the 6 month sub or store or somewhere D:
There are other cool questlines and things to do in-game. So why worry about what someone does with their money? Why does it bother you? What negative impact does a store mount have on your gameplay?
Every time I see one of these posts, not one of them has ever been able to respond to the following:
Players who do 6 month subs have come to expect these added perks for being subbed that way. Stopping the release of these mounts will cause many people to stop subbing this long. Now, aside from nothing being wrong with these rewards in the first place (the only reason why anyone is mad is because the store mounts are getting a flashier treatment than in game reused ones - THIS is your actual complaint and problem) how exactly do you appease these people?

I acknowledged that I misread the post and that thereās no new mount that is behind 6 month sub right now: made an edit on one post and then posted about that separately as well.
This is bad cause you sub with the goal to get a freebie mount and not to play the game to achieve this mount by playing the game.
Good. Less artificial inflation of the sub numbers and more pressure on Blizzard to actually work on their game. As an example of that, see all the changes that are coming in 9.1.5 which are a result of a huge wave of unsubs.
No. Put reused reskins in as rewards for something like this, not new stuff. Maybe a reskin for a mount that is harder to get from a meta-achiev of something so that the swag of completing that achievement is intact but those who want the mount but donāt want to play the game to get it can get an alt version of it and those who get the original are clearly distinguished and seen.

Get more actual content into the game for people to be able to play through, to group with other people, to participate in new content. Then people will sub for the game and not for the āfree handoutsā.

and these mounts from the 6mo subs are basically reskins. unique reskins sure, but reskins none the less. you made a stupid post, it happens, learn to move on and stop making the hole you dug deeper.

I already know Iām gonna be subbed every month until the servers go down for good, so I would save money if I switched to a 6-month sub instead of the 1-month sub.
I highly doubt thatās what this is, I think Hearthstone is struggling and theyāre looking for ways to draw more players to that game.

Iām not moving anything. Original post implied ā6 month sub mounts are badā - I still stand by this. Details got clarified, I acknowledged being misinformed. What do you want? A written apology? Tough luck, you aināt getting one!
How are they just reskins when the flying ship is something that is unique? When the other mounts didnāt have the same textures or animations on them? Reskin is a different color palette, not that. Those previous mount a not basically reskins - they are unique and you have trouble understanding that.
You claim that Iām ādigging a holeā while you are neck deep in your own hypocrisy!
That is a valid approach but for a different reason - you know that you are gonna be playing regardless so you sub for longer to get the discount for the sub. That doesnāt change that having a mount attached to the 6 month sub takes out the possible content out of the game and pins it to a credit card but thatās looking it at it from a different angle.
Tired of mounts, Iām never gonna use 99% of them and some Iāve never used once. Achieves for them are pointless unless you played wow from the beginning and collected since then, so Blizz can sell all the mounts they want, Iām not buying any more.
But it felt nice and rewarding to complete that āinfiniteā maze for Lucid Nightmare, or getting those puzzles for Hivemind completed and then getting friends together to complete the last step for it!
With this you feel nothing - these mounts donāt feel special or earned.
That was fun I admit, and unless there is some way to totally pug hivemind I cant do in such a small guild.
