“Free” mount is not a loyalty reward. It’s a bait on a hook to get you into a recurring 6months sub that you will forget about and let it roll automatically. That’s all that it is.
LOYALTY reward is when you accumulate 3/6/12 months of purchased game time and you get a free something depending on the tier that you get to. There is also a clear roadmap that you can check beforehand and be aware of the different reward tiers.

What part of respect is that when the goal is to hook people up on a recurring sub and hope that they forget about it, letting it roll over automatically into the new period? The mount is the incentive to push someone over the acceptance threshold for that.
This ain’t no respect - that’s the complete opposite of that. That’s using fear of missing out to get a 6 months sub out of your client base and then people will feel like they are chained to the game with sunk cost fallacy because they’ve already paid for the game time.

Six month subscription costs less than paying monthly. An in game item of some sort is given to these people at no extra cost.

You complaining about getting a sub price discounted and also other goodies?
Nope. All I want is for the unique things, i.e. mounts, be to put in game and be achievable by playing the game, not by swiping your credit card - that’s what the idea behind this thread.
Only then if there’s a recolor without a unique animation or somesuch, put it on the cash shop all you like even though cash shop is still trash in a game you gotta purchase and then pay a sub for.
Personally, I’m fine with a freebie mount for playing a simple tutorial. And the loyalty bonus mounts are a nice addition to the cheaper price of the 6 month sub. Glad they didn’t tie it to a year like Tyrael’s charger was though. It’s only a cash shop mount if you’re forced to buy the mount for an additional price like celestial steed and the others. Loyalty rewards are commonplace across many mmos.
Slands has already more obtainable mounts and cosmetics then the entirety of any other single expac so idk be mad about getting bonus rewards with the discount then.
