Another -4% raw Healing

I get that you can’t fix a spell to work properly, but is it really necessary to do ANOTHER -4% raw Healing (almost 100% positive there was one 2 or 3 weeks ago that was also a -4% or -6% raw Healing). What is the goal here? Force people to play the other Hero Talent tree because you can’t figure out your own mistake?

Some Mythic+ are already enough of a struggle for the above average Holy Paladins, at least what ones are left.

It isn’t as though there’s more healing to be found in the other hero spec either.

The Hammer and Anvil rework is nice, but it is unreliable. As things stand, even with the talent boosting judgment crit by 8%, my total crit chance for it is 32%. 32% chance on cast that I get a five target AoE heal moderately better than a chain heal. That’s nice to have, but I can’t rely on it when I need it.

Have it proc automatically on an Infusion of Light Judgment cast however, and/or on cast of holy armament, and we’d be getting somewhere. There is otherwise no worthwhile healing to be found outside of bulwark in the entire hero spec.

At what point is Blizzard going to learn that nerfing a healing spec’s overall with a flat nerf is the most unfun way to nerf a spec especially from a m+ perspective?

In raid, I don’t really care about nerfs because there’s other healers to back you up and we were doing ok anyway and a 5% nerf isn’t going to really effect us that much in raid.

Healers in M+ want to feel reactive. Cast a spell on a player, and as a Hpal you want it to be punchy, reactive, see the hp bar move etc.

At the moment we’re starting to fall back into last expansion woes where WoG/EF and HS already feel very weak relative to incoming damage and health pools.

HS heals for like 250k-300k on a 5.5m hp – 4.5%. Press Divine Toll with Virtue and watch as the whole groups HP bars barely move.

Even if you take Divine Favor + double infusions, Holy Light buffed by those procs heals for 1m.

If you accept that Holy Pally needed a nerf because of our overall healing, you have to admit the direct healing spells are barely cutting it and this 5% nerf is going to make it feel even worse.

See Automatic Jaks video where he explains how a Hpal directly healing something through a dot was not enough.

See Dratnos’ video where he says this nerf was unwarranted. There’s a fight in the raid where Hpal are laughably bad. They are over performing on some fights and terrible on others. ie this is either because of the Herald bug or fight healing profile/style etc, not because the spec is generally over performing.

Yeah they need to stop being bums and fix herald. I’m usually against dooming but the repeated flat nerfs are just lazy and inconsiderate of the nonmeta builds / mythic raiders.

Thank you for this post.

Maybe, just maybe, the Devs will actually look at the forums like they claim they do. It is absolutely laughable how much they show us that they don’t care in the slightest what the player bases opinions are, time and time again. The Devs are here just to have WoW as a stamp on their Resume and that’s all.

They really need to not only cancel this nerf but do the opposite entirely and then fix the bugs inflating their raid hps.

Hpal is such a fun healer to play in m+ but it feels so incredibly mediocre. I will not play a weak spec that is unable to heal content and brick other people’s keys or waste their time.

Whoever is in charge of balancing them has shown that they are either incredibly incompetent or downright malicious.

I wholly disagree with this. I felt that 6% and i bet i’ll feel the 5% even more. In raid i already feel useless except for my 23% damage reduction on 5 people, and until i use that damn raid wide spell. All other spells are next to useless compared to evokers, shaman, and priest.

Im glad Im not the only hpally feeling a little useless so far. I dont do M+ but I do still feel weak as crap in raids. I know I am bad but Ive never felt more stifled on meters.

Isn’t it a 5% nerf? So over the space of a few weeks a flat nerf of 11% to all healing. How much that affects raid healing is questionable. If I healed 1 million HPS on a particular fight last week, I now heal 950k? I don’t think it’s as simple as that, because if it was it would be almost unnoticeable in a raids - you’d just see less overhealing.

It isn’t really a 11% overall nerf, maybe 9% nerf from launch state, since this upcoming nerf is 5% of the post-6% nerf.

Still a bummer.
