Another “nerf SE” thread

Blizz, seriously. How many more threads need to be created by your players begging you to nerf this raid to be doable for 20 players. Your casual playerbase, probably most of the SoD community, is about to quit because SE is too hard. I’m one of them. I’ve been loving SoD. Started on day 1. Raiding just about every week. But now SE is so demoralizing. The loot drop quantity is terrible and the raid is DEFINITELY not tuned for 20 players.

Please. Please adjust this raid to be tuned for 20 people. Otherwise, raids are going to EVIDENTLY quit. And pugs will definitely be impossible to form. SoD will inevitably be in serious trouble.

You’re worried about people getting loot too fast? Let us get geared. Let us get BiS. So then we can go back in and feel that new power and destroy the raid. Feel good about ourselves. Give us the final reward in SoD we’ve been striving for.

From wat ive seen on youtube people love it,
Its the end of SOD, people thought it waz a season server but now its goin long term alot will have a break then come back.
Im still loving it, im in no hurry for SE cause ive been playin wow for along time i knew this was comin, it allways happens,
New raid hard at first, then nerfed over time.
If people didnt expect this idk wat to tell em.
Just have a break, not everything has to be done Now Now Now,
I read these threads and it seems like burn out frustration, just have a break come back and they probaly would of nerfed it by then,

Every person who takes a break means one less person in the community. This is a community game… MMO.

By making the people pull teeth to get a group through SE you are creating less characters, people, and groups running the raid. The population will die and this is what SOD will have as its lasting impression.

@aggrend @zirene two weeks of progress was fine. We’re way past the due date on keeping wow fun for everyone.

Vanilla did the same, all the doom sayers was out, vanilla bounced back, it will be ok.

People are leaving all over the show mate. So You’re dreaming mate if you think SOD is making a come back and your response is actually shocking to a point where it’s hard to even understand what you’re saying. “Take a break :rofl:

I cleared SE now with 3 different groups. 2 groups were 25 guild members. The other one was a 35 people pug.

The enrage timers are massive now (except last boss). That was the biggest issue on release. So you can take your time to take bosses out. That is great! Even my guild’s alt raid did 8/8 and we had many characters that were created 2 weeks ago.

But in pugs you see people that just cannot handle simple mechanics:

  • Beastlord: Don’t stand in green. But 7 players died on the first mechanic. We did several tries so that people pay attention to their feet.
  • Reborn Council: Many players dying to the fire tornado. Just walk through it.

There is no reason to nerf these. The beastlord fight is just “don’t stand in green” for everyone but melees and tanks. Wanna trivialize that mechanic now as well? The fire tornado does no damage if you just walk towards and through it on the inner or outer edge.

Many raids fail on these. There is nothing else to say but “get good”.

With the massive enrage timers my casual dad guild can easily do 7/8 with 20 alts with bad gear. And after some work we could easily do the last boss too.

The fights are not too hard imo, they’re just way too long.

Council is a race against people falling asleep during the fight and missing the interupt.

Edit: Plus alot of people have maintained 1 night raids throughout SoD.
This could easily continue to happen if boss fights werent like 10 mins long in a 20 man group lol.

Peeled secrets should not be a wipe if one goes off.
It is horrible and stressful.

Agreed. The tuning is just way off. I WANT difficult raids in SoD. So bring them on. But tune them for 20 players, please. Cap the raids at 25 or 30, and distribute loot for 20 mans. Or, do what you did in AQ and Naxx and add hard modes so that people who want the challenge can have that and people who want to zerg can have that.

Sign me up to nerf this fight. It was designed to last around 5 minutes and that’s arguably too long for the mechanics it has. My guild’s kill was 7:30. It’s really not a fun fight at this point. I really liked it at first when I was sweating to try to pump to hit the enrage but without the enrage just make this fight shorter as it’s pointless and annoying otherwise.

Agreed. It’s not that Council is too hard. It just lasts wayyyyy too long. Health reduced by 25% would fix the entire fight.
