Annoying RP Chat Boxes

I don’t know what else to call them. The big boxes that pop up far too frequently just to annoy you with the terrible voice acting… how do I disable those?

Lol, I was just hating on those yesterday and wishing they would put an option in the interface to be able to hide these next expansion. I shouldn’t have to keep downloading addons to fix things like that.

I had hide talking heads addon but after one update I was getting error messages so had to get rid of it.

It’s working fine for me and my wife. Also Bug Grabber and Bug sack, get rid of the error popups.

I had it back in legion - somewhere along the way the author stopped updating it - haven’t tried for months now.

Nice it is working for you though.

I definitely agree with that. More than half of my add-ons are for nothing more than disabling, moving, or removing UI “improvements” no one needed, wanted, or asked for.

I suppose not. I was just generalizing based on the fact that I have not seen or heard anything positive about these and other changes. My apologies.

I like the concept of the quest popups, but where it gets really annoying sometimes is queueing for group WQs.

  • You arrive in the area. Talking Head 1. But no one is around so you queue.
  • Queue pops. Talking Head 2. But you just miss getting a tag.
  • Wait. NPC spawns. Talking Head 3.

By #3, I want to see if Usha Eyegouge likes her surname as much as she thinks she does.

I haven’t even gotten to the point of the game where I would need to do world quests. I was just doing a dungeon and someone named Yazma would not shut the f up.

Oh that stupid thing. I installed an add-on that disables all of that back in Legion. Forget what it’s called but I’m sure you can google it. One of my most favourite add-ons since I don’t have to hear those retarded Tortollens.

I’m currently searching for an add-on that also disables the invasions/whatever nonsense they call those zone wide quests now that popup as well. Haven’t found anything yet though.

Hidetalkingheads is a godsend, cause my goodness, the talking head dialogue boxes are just plain obnoxious. I agree their should be an option from the get go to disable them without having to download an Addon, cause it takes up screen real estate where i want to possibly fill it with something useful, and not to mention it is not immersive to me in the least.
