Annoying Rested XP Guides Advertising in Emote Chat

I’m getting really tired of the constant advertisements from the paid addon Rested XP Guides in the emote chat. I’ve seen it like 20 times already in the Shrine in Remix: “Player has leveled from [some level] to [some level] in [some amount of time] using Rested XP Guides.” It’s becoming really annoying! I’ve even started blocking the players who I see these messages coming from

please yell at them blizzard

Same with people with that jump counter addon

Every fight just says how many times they jumped

Leveling Guides in general are insane to me, Remix or not.

RestedXP is a paid guide. People are paying money for an addon to tell them where to go.
Zygor is the same way, paying money to be told where to go.

Questing is intuitive. You don’t need a step by step for it. Insane.

Even if you want a known “efficient” route, just grab APR or something, which is a legitimate non-ToS Breaking Addon.

How are these companies even allowed to put out paid addons like this? I feel like I remember a rather large addon getting into trouble for even having a donation link, so how are these things fine, especially when they have built-in public advertisement included like RestedXP does?

Because the addon is free. They’re charging for the guide that goes with the addon. The addon itself gets its information from the guide, and is therefore useless without it, but it’s free so skirts the rules.

There’s free versions of them. I tried it once to see and it was a mess. do one thing off the suggested steps and it throws it off. idk. I found it much easier to level without it, but I know people who swear by it.
