Anniversary YAY! Skating ring boo

I like the Anniversary stuff but WHY is the skating ring so small!? I’m sure that I’m not the only one who’ve noticed how small it is. Why? Do you guys have to pay by the square foot for ice or are those mage just lazy?

Anyway, super disappointed… might unsub…

/s (Obviously but with the ppl here I guess that you have to point it out)

Yes.

After Arizona left the desert Blizzard thought they’d give it a shot. Turns out a large sheet of ice in the desert is hard to maintain afterall

RIP Phoenix Coyotes

The ring could have been bigger, but it wasn’t marketed as a main attraction.

Maybe next time it would be bigger with more fixings.

Very small. Not much point to it due to the size.

Zambonis aren’t cheap

I don’t understand why they had to make some rinky dinky area in caverns of time. We’ve seen that zone with the portals for m+. They could have built a HUGE anniversary zone there

Or even just extend our past that little valley. Tanaris is a huge zone and largely empty.

They should have made a makeshift hockey game.

nah americans wouldnt know anything about making a good hockey game

Lol, what do you mean. If it didn’t migrate to America, the NHL might still be playing on ponds for peanuts, or healthcare.

how is that relevant

a canadian took the NHL down to america. has nothing to do with americans creating the game???

What part did you not understand?

The part where you implied that the NHL Expanding into the USA was due to americans creating a good game

It would be the opposite right? Canada created a game so good that you adapted it in USA

FYI that goes for Hockey, Lacrosse, Football, And Basketball

all invented in Canada.

I didn’t say that at all. I gave America credit for growing the game. I implied if it didn’t, they may be playing for healthcare instead.

Ok, I don’t even believe that but do you want a cookie? Is this what Canadians believe? That they invented al these sports? I think that’s conceited. You can date many of these games to ancient times. While they weren’t exactly the same. I’d say playing with sticks and goals is where hockey came from, and that predates Canada by thousands of years.

Only on GD.

OP says event ice rink is small.

Thread devolves into arguments about the NHL.

You can’t make this stuff up folks.

It’s tiny, but kinda neat nonetheless.

There are a lot of fun little things to find at the anniversary grounds.

lol use google

Basketball - Invented by Canadian James Naismith in 1891 ,

Hockey - The modern sport of ice hockey was developed in Canada, most notably in Montreal, where the first indoor game was played on March 3, 1875.

It’s in a desert.
