Ever since the version launched on Jan 29 I have had an issue. When I launch anniversary WoW the game may freeze. The monitor with my game is unresponsive but other monitor still works fine and I can watch youtube or anything like that. Checking task manager my CPU nor RAM are overused. I am stuck on the log on screen with the message “connecting”. It freezes my screen but I can still hear the music playing. The fire on either side of the “connecting” message is not loaded however. I have to use ALT+F4 to close it.
I have to keep relaunching it until it works. Sometimes I will be able to play with no rhyme or reason behind why it worked that time. I must constantly relaunch the game until it works.
I have tried redownloading Bnet and wow, running scan and repair, and removing my addons. Nothing seems to fix this. When I use scan and repair the same 56.49 MB update downloads. Have done this at least 50 times.
I am on a Surface Laptop that has never had an issue running this game before Jan 29.
*As a follow up to this, if the game is running and I plug my laptop into my docking station to use my mouse and keyboard the game will crash.
Please advise.
