I see people selling gear for X amount prior to raid or HR it and paying players off, in raids. Is this allowed?
Note: I am not looking for your opinion, I want actual clarification, a bluepost definition, on this to see if this is allowed or if the active bidding of the items is whats banned.
There is no blue post for clarification, but no one has been banned for this. Blizzard intentionally won’t define it so they have the freedom to ban whenever they feel like it. All we have is that buying items like HoJ, buying specific items beforehand, or buying slots for the raid to be given loot is not being actioned on.
there also haven’t been as many ‘I was banned incorrectly’ posts recently, its like a 2 week lull or something.
I know a dude on Nightslayer Alliance that sells Head of Onyxia quest item. Told me 1k per head sold.
The intern is afk sadly.
This is what we were told shortly before Anni launch.
How would Blizzard even determine whether or not GDKP was used in a raid? I suspect that anyone who tried to conduct a raid using GDKP would not advertise it in any in-game channels such as LFG but would do so solely through Discords or other means that Blizzard wouldn’t be able to monitor. Could they just check the logs of the 40 individuals in a suspected GDKP raid and track the numerous gold transactions between players in that particular raid during the time they were inside of a raid instance?
There’s ways to skirt around it, but’s it’s a lot more work. Especially if you want to do it right.
It’s no different than how guilds do their weekly raid sign ups on discord. However some of those discords have 5000 members or close to it and are doing daily raids
