Just go play retail if you want a version of the game designed around RMT? Not super hard. The whole shtick with WoW nowadays is “a version for everyone !”.
So bringing stuff from other versions is kinda counterproductive to that idea.

I know you guys aren’t going to like this but there’s no point in having a server with rules (no gdkps and no tokens) and then allowing people to transfer gold from servers with gdkps and tokens, if you can run a gdkp on cata and send your gold to anniversary u are basically just running a gdkp in anniversary with an extra step, this no transfer rule needed to be in the game for a long time now

not only it will strike the gold sellers
but it will prevent your players in guild from talking 2weeks vacation 
Token is good for WoW. It’ll keep classic going forever and people already abuse token by supporting hard working third world country families via RMT.
well let’s see at work i make enough per hour to buy 3 tokens every hour, I however don’t make that much gold per hour in classic, id image the token would start at around 1k gold, im not making 3k an hour, so it makes more sense for me to buy tokens than to farm, its better ROI that way.

-every gold buyer is buying their gold from a gold seller.
-once token arrive many gold buyers specially the rich will buy tokens for safety, only the poor gold buyers will buy gold because it will be cheaper than token.
-and this mean gold sellers will lose many costumers with the token arrival.
You have no idea what you’re talking about. Gold sellers want the Token added to Anniversary. Especially now with the latest policy change.
the token in classic doesn’t convert into balance, and if those gold sellers want token to charge their game? that’s pointless because they are already selling gold and can charge their game with the $$$$ from selling gold, it’s the same as if they charged account with token via gold.
Applying money to your battle.net balance and then using it to buy game time is far more complicated (and risky) than simply buying a token off the ah to redeem.
Who buys Tokens off the AH?
- Bots. They farm all this gold anyway. So use a bit of it to pay for their sub.
- People who buy RMT gold. They use a small portion of that to buy a token off the ah to redeem. So now they pay for their sub and get a big chunk of gold. Far more efficient and saves them money.
- ‘Legitimate’ players. The smallest amount. Those who farm the gold themselves, though usually from swipers (for example, selling boosts).
It’s the saps who buy the token for $20 and sell on the ah that support all this, because they’re afraid of the very low risk their account might be hit with a ban if they buy from gold sellers directly.
The Token increases botting and gold selling. It injects way more gold into the economy. Yes, more gold is farmed and sold because of the Token. It does not simply exchange gold; gold is generated because of its existence. Same as GDKPs. Every reason players have to spend gold is another reason why more gold is farmed and sold.

No one does this, they don’t care about the 3 dollars they save enough to risk their account.
You have 0 proof of this but that never stopped you before.
The vast majority of gold being bought in versions of the game with token is from token, thats why it stays in.
Like you said “Blizzard themselves say this”. and blizzard says token reduces RMT.

no im paying to enjoy the parts of the game I actually enjoy, and guess what farming Gold isn’t fun or engaging gameplay, and I will 100% take the option to skip the worst part of the game so I can do the only meaningful part of the game
