Anniversary servers After january 7?

Hello guys!
Simple question: what about Birthday servers after January 7? Disappeared? Can we still play? I just want to know if I will play new toons on these (I read something that there are TBC servers on these servers) Or if after the anniversary everything will be gone? I’m a little confused about all these new, old, new-old, new-old, new-new-old, classic, new and classic… (well, I think you understand  )

The thing is I just want to play Vanilla, TBC and maybe Woltk,
Now what I think is that I can just play Vanilla in classic mode, no TBC possible, no Wotlk possible.

p.s (I HATE Cataclysm so I won’t play all the other previous ones because they will lead me to this… Cataclysm ^^)
p.s: (no need to tell me that I’m wrong, that TBC is %$/& , Cata is better, Wotlk is the worst or the best, or Bla Bla Bla Bla…) I just need information, no need for personal opinions on my gaming tastes; -) (respectfully). I’ve been playing Wow since 2004, I’ve experienced all these debates over and over again, so please don’t turn my request for help into a post about a childish and pointless debate. I really need your information, those who are aware of all the changes and who want to enlighten me, you are so welcome!!!

p.s: Sorry for my bad english writting/speaking, it’s NOt my first language
I really need help on this one

Confused on the question. Asking if they will allow cloning again? Or asking if the servers stop after Naxx?
TBC is already announced for these servers. They will probably have cloning.

We have now:

  • Era servers 1-60 + HC servers This is a split off from the original 2019 servers, and they are static - and clustered, so not as empty as they seem in the realm select screen.
  • Progressive servers from 2019, now in Cata, to progress into Pandaria.
  • Season of Discovery - loads of changes, should be seasonal, but will stay.
  • Anniversary servers 2024, just started. There’s one of each PvE, PvP and HC. The PvP and PvE servers - but not the HC one - will eventually progress into TBC Winter 25/Spring 26. We know no more, all else is speculative.

If this does not answer your question, just ask again.

Thanks Archewing,
I think my confusion is visible ^^

In fact, here are my real questions:

1- Did everything die after January 7 on these servers?

2- I can think of playing Vanilla and TBC on these servers?

3- I simply don’t want to invest the time to play, knowing that I may not have the time to develop my characters a little on these new servers, not knowing if they will disappear soon. So, do you know if I can have fun, without worrying that these servers will disappear after January 7th or in the near future

Which January 7th do you talk of here - I at least am confused by this question.

The servers are progressing into TBC not disappearing. So your character at the end of Naxx will be moved into the TBC Expansion.

It is not confirmed if you can move your character to stay on classic server through cloning but I put my money on they will let you.

Thanks to both of you guys!

I think that january 7th is the end of the “anniversary event” but the servers will still be there. So, with your infos, i will start new toons! (yééééééé) !

As i said, english is not my first language, so sometime it’s just hard for me to understand some of the infos. But Thanks again, i think i get it now :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I am taking the whole cloning thing with a grain of salt. They haven’t mentioned anything about anniversary classic wrath servers yet. And I hope we get a permanent version of wrath classic. But I have my doubts.
