I think this is a situation where Blizzard needs to rollback the Anniversary servers to right before AV launched.
Even if they remove the SoD boons and SoD items, anyone who bought/sold those items get screwed or get massive amounts of free gold.
There’s rumors of other items/gold being trade from SoD to Anniversary as well but this is unconfirmed.
It’s a mess.
The longer they wait, the more people will be upset about a rollback, but if they don’t rollback the mess remains for the entirety of Anniversary.

Well this would be considered an exploit so I think the people who traded this stuff will be banned in short order.

I did a dungeon run and finished a couple important quests and got a new weapon. I don’t want to be rolled back. I’m innocent.

The boons are a problem. They should just add the cheap chronoboon to anniversary servers by default to be honest. Easy fix and good quality of life

Thanks for the info, do you have any screenshots or clips? It’s hard to tell 100% what’s real and what’s not.
People have claimed SoD buffs, quests, enchants, gold, and skill books all bled over or were traded.
I just wanna know for sure what’s true and what’s not.
That’s not how rollbacks work. They would only be able to rollback to when the last backup/snapshot happened. We don’t know how often they do backups. It could be once a day, it could be once an hour.
You can’t just to to a database, wave a magic wand and say “I want all data to be exactly as it was on Jan 16th at 04:20:00”.

Like you said, we don’t know how often they take snapshots, that is the important question.
Hopefully you’d try to do one around the time of a major event like this, but we all know about hopefully.
Either way, it’s either rollback or deal with the fallout of issue for the entirety of anniversary.
I wish I knew what is actually confirmed to have happened, like if gold trading from SoD to anniversary happened that’s a lot different than just the cheaper boons.
Ive seen people selling quest shares for Diamond flask and other quests not out yet in trade on nightslayer.

Ya I know people can link whatever item they want, but a picture of it in a trade window or inventory or spellbook would be proof.
Same with enchants or quests.
Basically you aren’t supposed to be able to trade items in BG’s, but sharing quests is possible for sure, it’s a question of what actually got from SoD to anniversary.
Boons are 100% confirmed, everything else I haven’t seen concrete proof of but I’ve heard multiple people say buffs as well as quests.
Potentially skill books dropping in the BG?
It’s all mostly conjecture, can’t really tell what’s true without proof other than boons for sure.
