Anniversary realms, Has the drop rate for crystals in DME been nerfed?

I’m going over two days now without a single crystal dropping, only one huge emerald…

Bots already seem to own the open world nodes for herbs, and thorium… leveling mining had never been this hard before.

So to DME i wend as soon as I could, and other guildies also do this farm. We all seem to be not getting Arcane Crystals.

Was this nerfed?

EDIT: did some math with the help of TSM, see i use an invis pot every run, so i can know my run count, and i have sold all on AH, so TSM tracks that as well.

I have mined 14 crystals in 78 runs

2.3 mines per run so lets say i have mined 180 RTV, that is a .7% drop rate.

WOWHEAD has the rate at 3%

So it has been nerfed, or i am just super unlucky

Feels like it. They’ve done it with sod farm spots that were good.

Made a post yesterday about the same thing with Lasher farming, seems like its been nerfed into oblivion. Almost nothing drops there now, also 2 weeks since ive seen a class book in there. ? Maybe blizzard should get good at their jobs and do something about the bots, gold sellers, and exploiters and stop punishing actual players putting in time on legitimate farms.

judging by the price of gromsblood and dreamfoil. there are plenty of bots in DM.

Legitimate farm? 99% of people doing that farm are doing it to feed their families.

It really seems like it and for it to be overpopulated realm and not enough resources back in retail days they had to fix it because RTV was supposed to be 3-4 hits not 2 Kinda crazy

So like what are you saying though? Are you implying that a farm is no longer legitimate if a bot starts doing it?

It’s a legit farm, and the only viable one since the open world farms are dead.

Yes you do.

Lock, Spriest, and Mage can solo it.

In that order of proficiency.

It’s so easy on Spriest I figure any ranged at all could solo it, including healer specs.

I take that back, this farm is incredibly difficult and hardly worth the time and effort.
Do not recommend, and it’s potentially against ToS.

They can really. Lock best class.

You can go into DME and enslave the Demon that rains fire, use it to kill it’s own adds, and then use it to kill the water boss.

Then you can enslave other demons to kill their friends.

And in TBC there are elite demons you can enslave to solo quest bosses. Like everywhere you go is demons in TBC lol.

Lock is:

  1. Best PVP class in vanilla
  2. Really decent in PVE despite the claims otherwise
  3. Easy to gear in vanilla
  4. One of the easiest classes to level
  5. One of the fastest classes to level
  6. One of the best farming classes
  7. Best DPS in TBC
  8. Top 3 PVP in TBC
  9. Indispensable in raids in vanilla and TBC
  10. Can be played many different ways (customizable)
  11. Edgy
  12. Has some of the sickest looking gear in TBC and Vanilla
  13. Metal
  14. Has a personal tank
  15. Has a pet for every occasion
  16. Can summon people
  17. Can self revive
  18. Can store mana as health munchies
  19. Can drain life from others

The list won’t stop I’m afraid
