Why should anyone get banned for a mistake that they didn’t make? If it’s in the game and can be done that’s not the fault of the player, that’s the fault of the programmer for a 20 year old game. This isn’t the wild west (even though it may feel like that), this is the 3rd installment of a game that’s been around for years.

Yup people who weren’t there don’t understand unfortunately, they should be significantly cheaper right now tbh. There are other ways to deflate the economy overall, getting buffs so we can play the game shouldn’t be one. 18s in classic fresh on a 5 min cd would be pretttyyy nice. Would prefer a reusable boon for a fixed price but anything beats 10g.
Deleting the boons isn’t the solution, just keep them 18s and make the game more playable for more people. This seems like one of the most reasonable situations for “some changes” so that people can play the game and not pay 10g for an item that was implemented in phase 6 of an overly inflated economy due ot GDKPS in the original relaunch. As someone who is a big GDKP fan, and played through all of classic fresh on 6+ toons in Naxx, I can see why they were orginally 10g (still felt pricey then tbh lol). Doesn’t make any sense in phase 1 of a fresh server. Just roll with it.

Plus it was a lot of the bots who were sniping them up. IF I had done this I would feel zero sympathy taking gold from a bot.
This is dumb not all of us knew understood the prices were that low. I literally logged in to finish collecting my WB’s and when I saw the low prices of course I thought it would be a good idea to get a bunch. Now blizzard wants me to be stuck with boons that don’t work and no gold?

Since when can you purchase Chronoboons from the AV vendor in any iteration of Classic? They will reap what they have down.
remember when Blizzard used to perma ban gold buyers for their 1st offense and they used to roll back servers a day or so whenever they made catastrophic mistakes?

Roll Back Servers please. You allowed SOD enchants, AQ20 books, cheap chronoboons, ZG and DMF buffs, and people who didnt even enter BGs are over 110k, honor capped, in less than a day.
I don’t know man. I always check boons on the AH immediately when I log in to see how much I can overpay that day for an always available 10g consumable. Even have “chronoboon” permanently copied to clipboard so I can get it done before I can read anything in trade chat.
What an absolute embarrassment this company is lmao

If you buy your boons from the AH at above vendor buy price from people taking advantage of your lack of preparation, you weren’t going to have that gold for long anyway.
This just shortened that painful process. Really a blessing if you think about it.
Boons were introduced because all those tough PvPers were weeping about their buffs being dispelled. “That’s not PvP!” blah blah.

when did blizzard ever rolled back servers?
all i recall is the old role back for certain change to undo it, they never rolled back server to fully restore it to previous point.
this would have been in the 2004-2006 range of time
It’s called exploiting. Blizzard defines this as: This can include using bugs, glitches, or third-party programs to gain an advantage. Blizzard will take action against players who exploit the game, such as by suspending their account.
If Blizzard doesn’t stand behind their own TOS then there’s no reason to have it. In which case, players can feel free to hack, bot, dupe etc.

It’s just funny how many went diamond hands for the Chrono Coin. I mean sure history has shown that if you exploit early and often then you will win but this time they pulled the rug. I dont believe that anyone that bought either from the vendor or the AH didn’t know or wasn’t gambling. The thing that everyone should be raging about is the lost fun we should have had last night. That’s worth more than any amount of gold lost in a bad investment.
yeah i feel like the ones who bought them thinking they were going to come up on cheap crono for the rest of the game are mad because they fell for it.
and of course the people who have bots sitting at the AH who bought thousands of gold worth lmao thats what you get for botting.
