Yup, it’s such a silly argument.
People break all laws. That doesn’t mean you remove the law.
Ban has been wonderful. And swipers still complaining about it is another indication how effective it’s been. One of their favorite arguments is, “GDKPers just buy gold themselves now!” They don’t seem to understand what they’re saying here is that all they rmt gold was going through GDKPs. Since players now buy it to replace what they used to get from that loot system.
But at least it’s less rmt thanks to the ban. Well, megaservers increase it, but it would be far, far worse if GDKPs were allowed. People spending hundreds of gold on completely unnecessary flasks. Imagine what they would pay if they could just buy the gear.
The prices would be insane. And the guys know it. That’s why they’re so sad they can’t get a cut of that outrageous rmt gold.
It’s more rmt, even he agreed on that.

“We can’t stop Fent so we are going to ban Pot” is a better analogy
Except the thing they did increase the crime not decreased it
That is true, what we should do is bring RDF to anniversary because Zaalg says that kills RMT
We’re going to stop drugs by putting more drugs on the streets.
Literally blizzard
I don’t know what you mean by “gold carries”, unless you mean boosting low levels. As far as GDKPs are concerned, there are none. There is no secret society in a discord hosting them. It’s too risky because all it would take is one upset individual that lost their cut to ruin it for everyone.
If you seriously think a secret cabal of GDKPs operating in the shadows is the reason for extreme prices on goods you are absolutely cooked in the brain.
you think gold sellers aren’t interested in the gold black hole that gold carries are?
you think the supplier aint interested in demand? you think selling gear for gold doesn’t tie in just perfectly with gold selling? heck even promotes it and is a walking advertisement for it?
gold is doing all the heavy lifting here, you wouldn’t even be having this convo if it wasn’t for gold.
Another dead thread necrod
According to gdkpers there are still gdkps going.
You must not of made the cut ![]()
According to who?
I do hope they revert the gdkp ban and actually tackle the problem of rmt not punish legitimate players.
Changes are cement this is evident by the gold policy swaps.
You will be forced to pay $35 USD for a scholo run
does gdkp a thing back in 2004 if not , stop it !
Great work keeping an important topic in Blizzards sight.
It was actually.
you could actually, simple advertise that all loot is master loot, dont say its 1 reserve, dont say all loot is rolled on, just say all loot is master looted, and never pass it out. The server will be angry, but the loot rules where it would all be master looted, blizzard will read that and go, well you agreed to the rules and never got clarification and they never provided anything else, and he clearly master looted everything.
bad argument, I used to do GDKP’s, and one way to get banned on the discord and flagged in the server discord was to catch a week or later 3 week suspension for Gold buying, because it brought unknown risks to the GDKP, Blizzard could ban everyone who got some of that Gold, so it was policy that at least all the GDKP’s I ran with would simply refuse to let you come again even after your ban, it discouraged gold buying, we still however would take home 2-3k pots in Classic and 5-10k in TBC, mainly from people who collected mass amounts of wealth via selling boosts or DM clears for buffs, that gold they made was redistributed to everyone else in classic, and then in TBC making gold got easy.
On before you say you can’t make a lot of gold with the boosting sales, Friend of mine did stocks boosts 3g per person x 4 people x 5 runs = 60g/25min and then he swapped to his 2nd mage and did it again, which seems something between his two majors for hours and just watching movies making crazy amounts. on workdays heat spend 6:00 to 7 hours outside of rain nights and on the weekends we usually some logged in for about 14 doing it. Meaning if I’m doing my math right he was making about 5.8k a week. No he rated with us on his warrior but he had two mages he used to sell boosts, and he dump that gold in weekly gdkps either for his warrior if for whatever reason he missed the guild raid or he do it for his mages. But either way introduce that money.
We had another guy that was selling dm clears for buff, 20g per person, Michael’s on math he was making right around 2K a day doing this, and again he did GDKP where that gold was redistributed.
Now without GDKP these same kind of people are making the gold but they have no distribution method for it so consume prices are actually through the roof compared to what they were in the first time around classic happened.
This is some weird cope that people got banned that they are also banned from the gdkp lamo
No what it’s proof of is GDKP polices itself
