I have been used to travel to Caverns Of Time every start of the Week on Tuesdays. I was shocked and surprised when I saw it gone. I am also more shocked when I saw lots of people in there too without it. ROFL.
I didn’t know yesterday was my last Korrak’s Revenge run and last World Bosses kill in Tanaris. It was fun while it lasted. I already have all the Tier 2 sets. It’s just I am still farming for Badges as the Timewalking Vendors have new stuffs. Anyway, I now have 5000 Badges to be spent.
I wonder if my Shaman is just standing in the middle of the desert now?
Should go check.

Because it was a content patch. Now this expansion, already lacking in content, has less.
Didn’t Plunderstorm and Remix go for the same amount of time?

I’m fairly sure they did, which means there is a pattern to these kind of events. That’s all.
I think both Plunderstorm and Remix are vastly different types of content compared to a daily quest hub.
I also played the anniversary event pretty casually and passively and managed to unlock everything weeks ago. The event ran its course, in my view, long ago. The only thing that was still useful was the xp bonus, but even that is niche and not really content-related.
I’m just a bit puzzled why it was removed before the next major content patch.
We’re at the tail end of a season, folks already have less to do so they remove the event before said patch to give…even less to do?
Sure, it went on a bit long but I don’t think anyone would’ve bat an eye if it continued until 11.1.
Yeah. It makes me sad. Every day was a Squirt Day for so long. I could level all my battle pets any time I wanted to, and I got so many of my “Awfully Big Adventure” fights checked off of the list.
Sigh.
And now it’s all gone. I don’t even want to log in and look at it. It will make me sad.

i knew the event was over but decided to go to Tanaris to check the area one last time and was surprised to still see a bunch of people hanging out there.

I bet they wanted people to engage with Siren’s Isle more.

I was there on the platform when it all went poof this morning. Just an empty desert.
I am gonna miss mount mania.
All my alts were parked there for the extent of the anniversary. I knew very well when it was ending. I haven’t had time to move them out yet (about to go do that). I figure anyone I see is in the same boat and not someone who didn’t know the anniversary was over.

I’d say my priest was chilling out there but then i recalled I brought her back to org to buy mounts at the trading post. I…went a little too crazy buying mounts this month lol. I went from 3k tokens to I think a low hundred
