They’re really trying to get ahead of the complaints and say that you will definitely be able to buy everything from the entire event if you play it regularly and don’t miss any days.
People will still complain. Sounds like good fun though!
Seems alright. I wish they would confirm if the tier 2 sets are reoccurring each year or a one time thing. Wanna know if I need to rush to get them all or knock a few out each year.
IOW, it’s ‘player retention’ 24/7 for two months … the bean counters will love whoever dreamed up this FOMO event.
It’s also very confusing with regards to the XP buff. Like last year you log in and boom 19% buff. Now you log in and get a 10% buff and have to do a daily quest to get the other 10% which is only for limited time and then you lose it for the rest of the day and have to wait until tomorrow.
Sounds exhausting.
I can barely keep up with the weekly stuff we have now.
Wow I’m kinda surprised. We will feast.
Needs Shendralar tokens added to the vendor!
Direct quote from the blog post:
“If you run out of time this year, don’t worry, we will have the sets available from the anniversary event in future years.”
It’s going to be live for like, 2 months.
This game was never meant to cater to the people who only have 30m to play each day.
Personally I think if you have the full original set unlocked in game you should just be given the upgrade for free/no time gating.
As soon as I get what I am after I won’t be touching the anniversary event. I only want one thing and it’s not the transmog. The only thing I am missing from previous anniversaries is the Baby Blizzard Bear. As soon as I get that I’m done.
Congratulations?
but I have lots to do normally and I play hours every day.
yes that is top of my list. I can’t really figure out what there is in those rewards I don’t have. The only thing is transmog and I am not really into that much.
I am not into transmog much either. I like looking comfortable. And if people don’t like that oh well.
It’s really strange that this event feels like it’s going to be a full-time job and chore to be able to collect things + all of the timegating. Just a really weird way to handle what’s supposed to be a celebration.
As with every patch/expansion launch since shadowlands, they have to drag out the play time for metrics. The fact that everyone accepts the amount of time-gating we get nowadays is truly baffling.
It’s exhausting. Celebration event being made for metrics.
no wonder its 10 weeks…
Did they ever lift tmog restriction on pvp gear from vanilla?
I believe that is being lifted in this patch. This event in general though just looks very tiring.
