Annihilator is a cool af name for anything.
But it makes ZERO sense for this new hero talent.
Why?
The ability, Annihilation, is not for Devourer or Vengeance. Annihilation is an ability only for Havoc… the spec that doesn’t get Annihilator.
Shouldn’t the Annihilator hero talents be utilizing the ability it’s basically named after?
This really bugs me. Just wanna put this out there for others to notice too.
How do you know? We haven’t seen the Devourer’s talent load out yet.
Add all of this up and I think it’s clear.
Good thing they said the name is likely not final but even if so I think you are a little to hung up on a transformed ability name that is largely known as Chaos Strike.
It’s just the working name, just like “scarred” they are subject to change.
Even if Annihilator is the final name it’s like…fine? Just because havoc has an ability called that during meta doesn’t mean nothing else can be called anything adjacent to it.
Right lol like did Fury warriors lose their minds when DH came out and their resource was called Fury?
Did you miss the part where that is the working name?
Also none of the hero talents are based on existing talents for the naming scheme. I dont think there is a “Fel Scarred” talent, or “scarred” or “aldrachi reaver” talent.
Its a cool name, not super voidy but ill take it regardless.
I’m not a fan of the name Devourer. It’s the wrong kind of noun. Annihilation should be the spec name.
I liked the early leaks calling it Entropy.

I’m putting this out there exactly because of that. I want this known by more people to see what they think and hope it get outs enough to make them reconsider. I just think it’s a weird thing worth pointing out.
The first time I ever heard the word “annihilate” was watching “The Three Stooges” heh heh. I had to ask my Dad what it meant.
To me it’s more so because this is just Demon Hunters specifically.
They’re make a BIG point to specifically make sure all the abilities and their icons of Devourer are not fel colored and instead void themed… so let’s be complete and make the Hero talent’s name not make it also have weird mismatch with a Havoc ability.
Specs share abilities all the time even Devourer has effectively Eye Beam and glow up Spirit Bomb it is pretty likely they have effectively Chaos Strike as well in a void color but time will tell. To me this is like getting upset that both Arms and Fury have Juggernaut but slightly different flavors.
