I’ve always had a slight problem with the new animations but after a long break from the game I’m back to level a new character and these animations are really bothering me.
What is with Wild Growth? Why is my druid no matter what race I choose, clapping their hands in the air like Michael Jackson when i cast it? It looks ridiculous. The idle animation after I cast any spell, even when just standing in a city literally looks like the spongebob caveman meme. And this idle animation plagues other classes too. Shaman, no matter the race all have that animation like their trying to hold their boobs up after they cast anything.
After a long break from the game I’m actually having a lot of fun spamming low level dungeons and what not but the game is just hard to look at. Not so much the graphic fidelity but the animations. Blizz can we get some sort of toggle to revert back to old animations? You got to have the ability, I mean you have the animations on the classic client. I just want to see my Tauren just cast his normal way and have him scratch is butt after he casts a heal instead of looking like he just stepped out of a cave and seen the sun for the first time.
Wild Growth is fantastic. I love growing vines out of the ground for it.
I get it. You like them. I think they look ridiculous and would like to see a toggle option.
I’m kind of with Rhielle - I think you’re overthinking this way too much. You correlate the idea of someone wielding the elements and the power being weighty to someone trying to hold their boobs up. Or that a druid holding their hands in the manner they are to be ready to take from nature as if they’re the Spongebob meme.
Perspective is everything.

It’s not so much about liking or disliking as much as the descriptions you provide are rather over the top and insane.
I understand not liking things with the changes. I hate melee animations and the sounds my female characters make now. I also despise the slapping noise of Druid spells. Once upon a time, my sound folder took care of that. But now they won’t let us have that option either.
But… I wouldn’t exactly go as far as you did with the… “creative” descriptions.
In revamping everything, just like the models, there is no going back. I do miss the racial specific ones sometimes, but I’m glad they kept some of them at least.
We are stuck with things we don’t like nowadays. I feel like Blizz’s theory is “We gave you Classic for this reason.”
I never noticed my Shammy casting and holding her breasts. I’m going to have to look closer.

The caveman thing I can see too at least because of the arms.
For the most part I like them, pay especial close to the facial expressions some make when casting. My vulpera warlock while casting chaos bolt screams ‘this is gonna be good’, orc males while hearthing have this hilarious ‘hey baby’ thing going on and brewfest monks look all drunk. (Extra funny on vulpera.)
The new animations suck I agree, currently playing a male orc and the run animation makes me want to throw myself off a cliff, actually so bad.
