I took a zenith anima spherule heroic mode from my vault, and went to the heroic weapon vendor in my order hall.
He offers a 213 ilvl heroic staff with vers which says its currency is also a zenith anima spherule, but it only allows me to buy the haste mastery staff? what’s up with that
There are two different ilvls of spherule from each raid difficulty. You can only buy the weapon(s) that match the ilvl of the spherule you have.

If I’m remembering correctly, the lower ilvl one drops off Huntsman and the higher one drops off Denathrius (who drops higher ilvl loot in general). So yeah, they’re two distinct pieces of loot.
At least you got a weapon spherule! I still haven’t seen anything but offhand spherules.
