This stupid bs reward you get for completing your covenant campaign - for Venthyr you can choose Zenith Anima Bead or Apogee Anima Bead. These are used to redeem for a 194 ilvl item. Well, turns out, I picked the one that’s completely useless for me because it doesn’t say what the f they’re used for. So now, I have a token for a shield for a spec that doesn’t even use shields. Nice.
They do say what they can be traded in for.
the tooltip for Apogee Anima Bead says “Return this bead of Anima to your Covenant sanctum in exchange for a shield or offhand.”
They do not say this in the quest reward screen. They say it after it is too late.
that isn’t true
if you hover over the item it’ll show the tooltip, unless you have a weird UI issue going on.
They def tell you at the end . Ones shields and ones weapons. I remember being sad I picked weapons
I specifically looked over them to see because I knew there was a difference but just forgot which was which. Didn’t tell me in the completion screen. Obviously it isn’t just me either, because blizz specifically made a post about not exchanging them if you picked the wrong one, so to me, it’s worth 5G and that’s about it
Nah they said what they were for in the reward screen. Cuz I remember seeing it
You may have a corrupted Cache folder or something UI related impacting what your quest rewards display.
All of the covenant token rewards from the end quests say what they turn in for if everything is displaying properly.
so you knew one was useless to you and still didn’t think to look it up anywhere before you picked?
Oh boy, another person on GD who is physically incapable of reading tooltips.
Regardless of whether people failed to read the fine print, it’s an insanely stupid and lazy implementation. There’s 100% no reason they can’t put the alternate currency on the same merchant in case someone selects the wrong one. Or even if you’re using raid currency to swap.
They already partition items on merchants by specs that can use. Make one currency for one item like a non-retarded game developer.
Alternatively, you can pay attention and do just a little bit of research, like a non-retarded game player.
In your defense, the warrior ones aren’t clear off the back. For anyone wondering, the warrior ones say “trade it in for a weapon”, I was also fooled by it but got my bead from someone else’s drop in a raid.
I mean, at the very least, you could use the shield to run AV for 2ish hours to get whatever weapon-type your heart desires.
I would absolutely not recommend running dungeons or raids for weapons.
Good reading skills op.
You should blame your preschool teachers for this one, not Blizzard.
The spherule says trade it in for a weapon. The bead says trade it in for a shield or offhand. There are two shields and four weapons from the vendors because warriors don’t have offhands. This is 100% simply not reading and paying attention.
