I have spent several days now grinding ZM and it is the most pitifully boring content I have ever played. You literally just do a loop around the map with other players killing little mini bosses that serve no purpose other than to provide chunks of this anima resource. After doing it for several days, I have amassed 23k which actually feels like nothing, considering that purchasing all of the upgrades to one covenant is somewhere in the range of 30 to 40K. That doesn’t include purchasing all of the cosmetics you can get for your class, either, or the other covenants. The cap is 200k, a truly stupendous and absurd number That seems unreachable, except by doing months of grinding for at least 7 hours a day. Meanwhile, we have people who have been playing since the day the expansion was released to have capped out on anima and have literally nothing else to spend it on .
All of this could have simply been avoided by making anima actually tradable, which seems to be a realistic option considering that we’re playing an online role-playing game. Why is there a currency used in collecting stuff that is account bound? I don’t understand this at all.
