Anyone know what's going to happen with the fishing raft in Bfa?
From what I understand, the different expansions will have their own leveling curve, yet the raft is 525 skill to use.
How is it going to switch over?
I hopped on the Beta server & checked my toy box. The raft now says "Requires Pandaria Fishing(1)" to use. You get that when you purchase Pandaria Fishing from the trainer, which only requires level 70, there's no fishing skill level required. I checked with Nat Pagle & purchasing the raft still requires revered with The Anglers.
So once you've done the rep grind to purchase it on one character, all your other characters get to use it just by spending a bit of gold at the fishing trainer once they hit level 70.

That kinda sucks.
Right now, you can have a vanilla toon go beyond 525 fishing to use the raft. Having to wait until lvl 70 isn't fun...especially when Outland has a lot of fishing spawns that are too far away from shore for goblins and gnomes.
Unsure why mine now says that it takes on water. Which boy does it now... Its completely useless how its behaving for me atm.. Worked hard to get that raft and now i cant even use it properly.

I think it's always said that. I think that just meant that after it expires you take on water, but they may have changed that. I've been using mine all along and it's not an issue, but perhaps it is disabled in BfA content.

There is no fishing 525 anymore. No character was able to use the fishing raft before reaching Pandaria previously. I don't agree with how they did this, but it's really not a change.
I just bought Pandaria fishing and still no raft in my toy collection what i'm i missing

You can buy the raft from Nat Pagle in Krasarang Wilds once you reach Revered with the Anglers. You don't get it automatically.
You have to rep grind and buy it from Nat Pagle.
YOu just have to be MoP fishing 1 to use the raft.
I just bought the raft, for 750g, on a character with revered rep with the anglers, on one server. I then went to Pandaria on the characters Iām now using on another server (with a greater population), and bought Pandaria fishing training. They can all use the raft without any angler rep or fishing skill other than Pandarian fishing.

Thanks for clarifying that up for me. I am now working on my daily reps to get to rev and then to exalted
