I have yet to verify that Anduin does not enjoy it.

Anduin & Talia makes sense. Ansuin & Wrathion doesn’t, and only fits a meme. Anduin did almost knock Wrathion out when he first saw him.

the reason anduin did that is because wrathion let garrosh out of prison causing him to go to an alternet timeline resaulting in alternet guldan comming to our reality and bringing the legion leading to his father dying. and thats the logic of my father is dead because of you statement he made.
If my eyes weren’t burnt out of my skull already this thread would certainly do it.

The only shipping which has any evidence and would be logical for anduin as a king needing hiers is tealia.
As far as we know anduins straight and only ever showed sexual interest in women.
Even if hes bi theres no evidence for it and he still needs hiers as king.
I would laugh if wrathion genderbent himself to mess with anduin only to get messed with instead.

The romance of characters rarely affects the main story so its often just fluff.

Well, Anduin has a point: WoD was 100% Wrathion’s fault, after all.
Taelia is the most likely suspect for a match. That’s what the writers seem to be telegraphing, anyhow. But if I put on my “Peer of the Realm” hat, I can see some other possibilities.
(1) Tess Greymane. Anduin’s already shot this one down, but it makes a ton of political sense. Their son would unite the crowns of Stormwind and Gilneas in personal union. That’s nothing to sneeze at.
(2) Lucille Waycrest. Anduin wouldn’t know her from Eve, but again, it’s a union that makes a certain kind of political sense. It ties a non-Proudmoore house of Kul Tiras more closely to Stormwind, specifically the tidesages of House Waycrest. Not a bad dowry, that.
(3) Vanessa van Cleef. Granted, this is high risk, but also high reward. Pull this off and you can heal one of the longest-standing rifts in the Stormwind faction, the beef between the nobility and the guys the nobles stiffed. And Vanessa would prod Anduin (subtly or maybe not so subtly) into actually doing something about Westfall. It’s an outside-the-box match to be sure, but worth putting on the board.
All that said … we all know it’s going to be Taelia.
