People seem to forget what Varian went through, and he didn’t act like this. Didn’t need to. Went back to Stormwind to get stuff done. His character development was great

Anduin has a couple cinematics now where he cries. Let’s stop pretending like this is needed to have sort of great character development

He’s been a little baby for many expansions, how long do they need the man to cry and be all pathetic for to make his story better

His story is fine, you just lack patience and imagination.

It’s reasonable to see the damage he has taken. He was forced into it, it went against his very core. There are very few that could survive that mentally.

Also comparing him to thrall and other prominent lore characters is a dis-service. He is younger and since legion has been hit hard, dad killed by fel, having fight a war against slyvanis, then getting captured and tortured.
