Hard to find romance when the world falls apart every couple of years. It’s distracting.
But his last love interest, a dwarf woman from Ironforge, died unfortunately. So far he hasn’t met anyone else he’s interested in.

Let’s see . . .
He lost his mom at a young age, and then had his dad was gone too.
He’s then raised by a woman that turns out to be a large scary dragon that actually wanted him dead. That probably hurt his trust in women.
Then, he gets his dad back, but they go off to War together, where his entire body is crushed, and has to be in recovery for a long time just to live.
Then in WoD . . well, ok, not sure what he did in WoD, but honestly no one, including the players, did much of anything in WoD other than Khadgar, so . . . eh
But then, his dad dies! and he really isn’t happy about it. I brought him a locket, and he said it cheered him up, but I have doubts . . .
and NOW, OMG, war has broken out and he’s gotta save the world!!!
But no, I guess you’re right, he should just be thinking about what to mount . . .

I’m 25 and don’t have a girlfriend. I, too, am not complaining. What’s with this idea that people have to be romantically involved at certain point unless others find them weird? Some people just like to take things slow and have other priorities.
I’m sure being the King of Stormwind is a huge priority.

That’s actually the problem. Genn and the nobles are pressuring him to marry someone, anyone, to continue the line. Genn even offered Tess as an option.
But Anduin’s pretty set about marrying for love, not duty. So he’s been trying to hold the decision off. Kind of a point of contention going on there.
