Anduin has Shalamayne?

You mean Nathanos isn’t an author self insert so he can protect his waifu?

Where did you pull this nonsense from? He doesn’t want to spread the already diminished alliance army and what little resources they have left after the war with the legion any thinner.

That doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to assist the night elves. He’s just having to figure out where the best use of resources is. Fighting too many enemies on too many fronts is rarely ever a good idea.

Your average longsword IRL only weighs about 2.5 lbs. A blast that throws a giant hulking orc backwards is easily enough to toss two swords much further.

Again he was trained by some of the greatest warriors ever. One of which being his father. Have you seen a RL teen go from 15 to 19 and become far more physically adept? I remember when my brother Joined the military and after a single year he was nearly unrecognizable.

Apparently you have to be at least 40 years old to be able to withstand two 10k+ year old Night Elves. One of whom had just received an upgrade from Elune.

You can think that way if you want. I’ll however harp on him not supplying her with more soldiers to retake their land.

What’s even more laughable is that he claims “She’s consumed with vengeance” because she didn’t answer his ‘summons’. She has other priorities in mind.

And where do you expect him to pull those soldiers from? They’re already on the verge of recruiting farmers before Tyrande comes to him for aid.

I mean, they were all parked right outside Orgrimmar and decided not to go help the Night Elves even thought they were literally right there.

I don’ t blame Andiun for that decision The Alliance had already laid all the ground work for the Operation “BoD” and the Alliance couldn’t afford to start fighting upon another front at that moment in time. Now that things are settled down, I fully expect him to either demand the Horde pull out of the NE lands or send troops to help.

I didn’t realize Orgrimmar had been moved half a continent north so it was “right there” next to Darkshore.

I have to wonder this as well

Man Ashenvale really wasn’t next door at all. Huh, who would have thought.

They didn’t have soldiers to send, everyone was already fighting some place. There was a cinematic talking about how Anduin wasn’t willing to conscript farmers/civilians for the war. That’s why he went to Saurfang.

We went straight from fighting a costly battle with the Legion to another war. There was no time to rest or recover.

Do we know canonically that orcs are still in Ashvale? I thought my mission table said we’d retaken that zone.

We had enough to send to their death to Siege the Zandalari. We sent soldiers on a literal suicide mission.

Don’t know. If that is the case, then why aren’t we seeing Night Elf refugees talkin’ about it in Stormwind? That’s a pretty huge even to retake not only Darkshore but Ashenvale as well.

8.3.5 finally reflects current events with a shizton of flavor text. I’d expect the same if Night Elves have retaken their land.

Derailing aside, Anduin being such a greenhorn optimist makes him less of a Gary Sue.

What do you mean? It was quite a blast…

i got this!

sprays with squirt gun

Physical change is not the same as combat prowess. His gain in muscle mass I’m not questioning. His sudden ability to take down scores of enemies I do. Even with training he has little in physical combat experience.

His time in Pandaria Anduin used range magic attacks. Quite a jump from that to being able to beat a fully armed troll like he’s been fighting in that form all his life.

Weird thing about that though is there were Darnassian sentinel regiments there, just not featured in the cutscene.

For the Night Elves to be there but Tyrande to refuse the summons almost implies she’s pulled (or going to pull) a Sylvanas of her own…and I don’t trust Blizzard’s writers to not do this.

The blast stopped his forward momentum and put him on his back. There was a respectable amount of force involved.

That said, you could make an argument for the swords going just about anywhere. Elastic collisions can get pretty weird.
