I know I am not the first nor the only person who saw this. There may even be a thread about this already and I haven’t come across it yet. I’m not curious at “if” anyone else saw this but, instead, how many saw it?
It doesn’t mean anything, right? Surely there’s no coincidence here. I’m not a lore expert at all. The resident expert in our community says what the Jailer did to Anduin was pretty much turn him into a Death Knight (like Arthas) via the domination magic.
Definitely an epic and outstanding cinematic regardless. 11/10. Looking forward to the expansion and what it’s bringing us.

100% noticed it myself, too. Even back in Shadowlands, they were drawing parallels between Arthas and Anduin, and it looks like that’s continuing.

Spoilers from the game this is ripping off:
he’s cecil from final fantasy 4, plus derplander from shadowbringers, at that moment. “there is no light in me” is one word off from cecil’s line at the very beginning of the ds remake of ff4 “there is not a mote of light left in me.”
both then go to the moon (literally go to the moon in both games, there are talking rabbits there) and become paladins.
Part of Arthas’ soul was used to forge Anduins Rune Blade so possible there’s like guess mental scarring of sorts like a fragment of Arthas has imprinted itself into his mind guess you could say.

That’s what happens when you split that sword, you will go coo coo and then get disenchanted in the later expansions.
Mid cinematic compared to some from the past. But Metzen did say b4 they showed it to basically keep our shirts on coz its just the beginning.
But seriously, the cinematics they are producing these days are all ppl standing around with no action. Come on leta get some bfa style cinematic action going
