And now...Tyrande is too strong

That would certainly make the story more interesting but the howls from alliance players over the alliance doing anything dodgy might be more trouble than it was worth.

I’m very happy to see the Alliance return to it’s roots and treat the Horde like alien invaders, which they are considering it is an Orcish organisation.

Only because the Horde can’t coexist with ANYTHING.

The whole self-rightous crap is what makes alliance less appealing in my eyes. If they can put some of the original brutality back into it, it would both improve it and get some of the players heads out of the clouds, or where ever it is they keep them. Never been a fan of binary, black and white good and evil.

Correct. We’re all monsters whose sole desire is the eradication of all life.

See, I don’t mind as much when you admit it. It’s guys like Crapula there trying to pretend there’s anything not mustache twirling evil about the Horde that upsets me.

This guy gets it.

In general, except for the Tauren
and you Kaz :hugs:

it makes it less appealing in my eyes, considering how endlessly frustrating it is to see devs thinking we want to still maintain this when survival is at stake.

Oh I’ve given up, I loved the whole Noble savage thing that Thrall had going but WoW writers, no all of the playerbase want Horde to be absolute evil. Fine, whatever.

I preferred Thrall too. But ever since Cata, his Horde has been dead.

What are you worried about?

The Alliance has had, at various points in the story, unrivaled airship and teleportation technology, enough military might to make them the sole remaining superpower on Azeroth, an actual spaceship with an actual doomsday laser, and now an angry goddess.

At no point has the Horde ever been in even a little bit of danger from any of these.

Your control of the story and the special privileges extended to you by the developers means that your plot armor is six feet thick. Sylvanas could attack Stormwind with a sharp stick and a dead trout tomorrow and singlehandedly conquer the city.

Relax.

Malfurion and Velen I agree with, they are suppose to be immensely powerful, though Velen is more based on the aspect of healing.

Jaina is the most powerful human sorceress and has a big powerful staff. Not god-like though.

Tyrande was just raised to a near god-like state.

Turalyon…well he’s just a lightforged human. I dont see any god-like concepts in him. He’s just a Paladin on steroids.

Alleria is infused with Void energy of a fallen Naaru heart. Definitely powerful but not god-like.

As for the Horde:

Baine, Roh’khan, Lor’themar, Highmountain, Liadrin, Thalyssra, etc are powerful but nowhere near the god-like status some of the Alliance have.

Saurfang, as legendary as he is, is still not some superior power.

Sylvanas is what is considered to be a ‘higher’ undead, and has Val’kyr channeling their power into her. She is definitely very high the ladder, but not sure if god-like works here.

Horde recently gained Talanji…whom is said to have some uncommon and terrifying control on loa magic that can decimate enemies. Supposedly putting her on equal footing with Jaina.

That…would be about it. Not sure how Horde is still standing.

Turalyon was chosen by the Light to lead it’s army and for that reason was sustained through millennia of fighting in other dimensions.

Simple strategy: March up to her and in the best Malfurion voice you can do, tell her to Hush. Bam! She becomes incensed and smacks around Malfurion.

Yes by the Naaru that was one-shot killed by Illidan >.>

Malfurion hasn’t been neutral since we burned Teldrassil. In fact, in this very patch, he was seen absolutely destroying Horde caravans. Tyrande might be aggressive but she is intelligent, powerful and has learned very important lessons(Besides being diplomatic) in her tens of millennia of existing. The Night Elves, before this patch, had their aggression neutered almost completely despite being the most capable of warriors in the Alliance.

Then Illidan stopped Turalyon’s sword swing with a single bare hand. I wonder if he had a valkyr hidden on him somewhere

Really? I didn’t realize it was Xera that had sustained him, thought it was just “the Light”. Thanks for that info.

Honestly, when we consider the Alliance leadership, they’re fairly stacked. Malfurion is essentially a demigod. And now, Tyrande’s in the same boat. Velen’s a prophet who can see the future, and has primary command along with Turalyon over the Vindicaar, an intergalactic spaceship which (in reality) could have been piloted to Teldrassil and helped evacuate people. But it wasn’t.

It just makes Alliance leadership look incompetent, sadly.
