Title says it all.
They were harder… but only because people didn’t have a clue about how to coordinate a group for hard content. This is one of the reasons why I very often said, before classic launched, that all those people who believe classic would help them relive their glory days of wow in 2004 - 2006 were going to be grossly disappointed if they expected the game to feel the same… it never could have captured the feeling of the original vanilla experience because EVERYONE was a total noob. Anyone who played vanilla is infinitely better prepared for end game content. Everyone who played vanilla is 15 years older and arguably, 15 years smarter when it comes to approaching difficult content.
They “Were” harder. It was a different time. the First few guys that ran it went in Blind. No data mining, no website to walk you through it… I am at a loss with people on this site…
Kodo poo. This line of thought will never become less stupid.
Go kill rag and onyxia then. You attribute the hardwork and dedication of 40 people to yourself. They worked hard, played hard. And organized all the people required to do those raids. You did nothing.
I think every time anyone has every talked about vanilla raids vs current raids they’re not talking about present time and they talking about past experiences
I don’t think anyone in their right mind expected vanilla raids to be hard 15 years later
And most the time when people talk about if raids were harder most of them say “having to deal with 40 people was the harder part”
What’s the point in these threads, no one has ever claimed MC is hard. APES has been clearing all the Classic raids for years on private servers, so this is no shock that they were capable of pulling this off so fast. But Classic bad, BFA good, amiright?
It’s so easy that only one guild has done it.
Lol the responses to this are killing me keep em coming.
I didnt think anyone thought that with maybe the exception of naxx.
Uh, what “crowd”? Most people recognize that vanilla raids are easier than what we have now.
I can never relive the full experience of my first time playing dark souls. I’ve still replayed it about a dozen times. BWL won’t blow my mind like it did in 2006, nor pose the same challenge. I’m still gonna run it to hell and back, because it’s a fantastic raid that holds many dear memories for me.
But molten core wasn’t even difficult when it was current. So idk what to tell y’all.
Whoa, chill on the edge there.
Yes, it was a group effort. The raids are also absolutely trivial compared to modern raids no matter how you look at it.
its cause people where saying that they where still gonna be hard, there was a bunch of people proudly saying that rag was gonna take like a month or something.
WoW isn’t hard
#MyClassic
Lol I did when I first played bloodborne. The terrifying feeling of not wanting to accidentally run into the boss. Bloodborne didn’t have fog walls btw on first encounter so you really didn’t know if you were near a boss or not.
The souls franchise is still one of the best at making players feel like noobs. Especially when they change things up like with Sekiro
I couldn’t get into sekiro. Gameplay was very good, but I wasnt interested in the setting and losing the build variety/RPG elements sucked me out of it.
DS1, 3 and bloodborne are all among my favorite games ever made, however.
Yea I felt the same. Didn’t purchase it.
AWW GEE. A PRIVATE SERVER GUILD clearing 15 year old content in the first week with precision planning and game hours?!
GEEEE WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?! 0.1% of the population, that’s enough evidence!
I’m not saying don’t enjoy classic.
But if you honestly think these raids are harder than retail you need to get your head checked out…
