Ancient Pandaren Mining Pick

Good afternoon. On July 27, 2025, I encountered an error. In Pandaria, the character Kelgruk on the Faerlina server. I waited so long for the ancient Pandaren pickaxe https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=85777/ancient-pandaren-mining-pick#comments and finally found it, received points for the achievement, but the pickaxe itself did not end up in my backpack. Restarting didn’t help, and it’s not in my mail either. Please help me and give me back my ancient pandaren pickaxe. It no longer shows up because the system thinks I already got it… I wrote to support, but support told me to write here on the forum. Here is the response from support. Nomilocoel

Having looked through your case, and after checking, I am sure that this can be a bit frustrating, as a player myself, I would be frustrated too. However, and I mean this with as much sympathy as possible. Customer support are unable to provide items for players in Mists of Pandaria classic era. I recommend submitting a bug report as it’s the most effective way to contact our developers. I had a similar instance happen with the 2h boa sword, but my ticket said they know thier is an issue and they are working on it so they cant do anything until the fix has been installed in game.

What should I do? Support directed me here, but no one is responding to me here, and the problem is not being resolved. I cannot obtain the pickaxe again; it is not displayed for me, as I have already obtained it (in fact, it did not drop for me). Could you perhaps reset this achievement for me so that I can try to find the pickaxe again?

I had the same issue with picking up this item and was directed to create noise with the bug reports. Things I am reading is that this is a known issue yet they dont fix it. We have the proof of looting the item on the account due to the achievement flag, so why can we not get the item added from a game master ? This makes no sense to me. My account is flagged so I am unable to pick the pickaxe up again. Seems like an easy fix to make your gamers happy but they would rather pass the buck.

im still trying to find this, with its really insanely long respawn timer. but my problem is with another treasure. the Mesmerizing Fruit Hat, also another treasure, but seemingly it has disappeared from the treasure list on the All The Things addon and even from the containers list from the RareScanner addon. I havent even looted it and I havent seen anyone else make mention of it.

but its just really kinda funny that this company cant even release the same expansions, without somehow causing more issue than the initial releases.

I don’t understand what the problem is. Check if the character has achieved it. Check if the character has the item, especially since it is a personal item. And if it’s not there, just send it by mail. It’s that simple.

You would think that would be the case but game masters were very unhelpful. I keep saying in my ticket that the issue isnt solved and commenting someone should be able to help me get this item in my mail. Please direct us to the person that can help do this.

There is no such person. If the GMs say they can’t do it, they can’t do it, and therefore it can’t be done.

Posting in the Bug Reports forum is a necessary step, but it’s the first step in a long process: QA confirms the reported bug and forwards report to developers; when the developers are allowed to, they study the bug and if possible fix it in-game; and, optionally, provide permission and tools to the GMs to fix affected players.

Too bad the games 13 years old and they still haven’t fixed this bug though. Small indy game company i guess. smh

Are you serious? So you have a game. There is an achievement for which you receive a reward in the form of an item. A person spends three days of their life and about 18 hours of time to get the achievement and this item. In the end, they find the item. They get the achievement, and then an error occurs and the player doesn’t have the item. And instead of just checking everything and returning the item to the person, it becomes a very serious game error that the developers can’t fix for 13 years? Just give people back their item, that’s all. Or do you think this is normal? If you think this situation is normal, I wish you to be accompanied by such errors at every step and in the game. May everything drop for everyone on the first try, but not for you, and then, when you find it, a game error occurs and you don’t get any item.

did u manage to get this resolve? i have experience the same issue, picked up the item, got achievement but didnt get the Pick axe.

No I literally was threatened to be banned for submitting tickets on the matter because they kept giving me ai responses and couldnt even read my ticket properly calling it the “kobalt pickaxe” it is crazy ill see if i can snipet the response.

This isnt even about the KOBOLD PICKAXE I am trying to get the ANCIENT PANDAREN MINING PICK restored as it does not seem to be showing up in my bags like other looted account treasures within the game. I feel like I am getting AI responses here.Please escalate this to a real person.

I just had the same problem happen on my account. Ran around for hours in that stupid cave and when I finally found it, clicked on it and received the achievement, but it did not loot into my bags. I submitted a bug ticket and a loot ticket.
