I know that items for classic was confirmed to be on a progressive path, example the dungeon sets added in aq and all the new items. Thats the example they gave but im curious about the two items for hunters and priests that were both added with Diremaul but they are drops from Majordomo in MC. both quest chains have nothing to do with Diremaul so was hoping if we can get some kind of confirmation on whether they will be out at launch or wait till Diremaul.(phase 2) I know Private servers generally have them out at launch even if Diremaul inst released yet.
They will be added in the patch they were added, since I’m pretty sure they count as “significant to progression”.
True but the hunter rewards get pretty much outdated at BWL launch besides the quiver of course would be nice to have them dropable before Diremaul Their a low chance to drop anyways

Outside of MC, the world bosses are P4 (BWL is P3). They’re talking about the dragonkin you can farm for the sinew.

Diremaul is Content Patch 2. BWL is Content Patch 3.
So you’ll have 4 months to get the quiver and bow, and then replace them in BWL.
Dragons of Nightmare are P4.
Kazzak and Azuregos are P2.

Nothing drops “100% from each world boss plus Domo’s chest”. Mature Blue Dragon Sinew is a guaranteed drop from Azuregos (and required only for the hunter quiver). Eye of Shadow is a guaranteed drop from Kazzak. Neither of these items are available from Domo’s chest.
Ancient Petrified Leaf and Eye of Divinity are what drops from Domo’s chest, and can only be obtained from said chest. On top of that, hunters need Mature Black Dragon Sinew from Onyxia in order to get their bow, which is also a rare drop.

There is so much “wrong” on these forums hahaha.
Both the leaf and Eye only drop from Major domo the other components are 100% drop from the world bosses but they are not required as in you can also farm those pieces from elites at a lower drop rate. even without world bosses these items can be in the game im just curious if they will be like how private servers usually do it. If not its also not a big deal

I recall Onyxia is also 100% (dont remember exactly) but same thing you can get the same drop from black dragon elites just low drop
The Black Sinew only drops from Onyxia, and isn’t guaranteed either. Comments from 2006 speculate a 20-40% drop rate.
After looking it up myself it is a 100% drop rate IF you have the quest and if you have the quest the Mature Black Sinew will drop from other mobs aka the black elite dragons in the Burning Steppe

I suggest you check your sources again:
- Patch 3.3.5 (2010-06-22): Now drops from black dragons in the Burning Steppes.
It never dropped from anything other than Onyxia during Vanilla.
It’s not a 100% drop if someone is on the quest either, as there are comments from 1.12 complaining that it should be changed to that, as they can’t get it to drop while they are on the quest.
Both what you implied and what the other poster have said is wrong.

Thanks for correcting did not look at the dates checked it out on the wiki and it did confirm that option that it drops from the elites was added in wrath. But still doesnt change the fact that these items can be introduced at launch so would be nice for a confirmation on wether they will be added to Domos loot pool at launch or Phase 2
