I was doing a key, and those mobs can rez after death.
You have to kill them both around the same time.
key part is killing at the same time.
Haven’t core hounds been rezzing each other since classic Molten Core?
Yes, they have. It’s a core part of their design. Just like not being able to taunt dragonkin.
Core Hounds have been ressing each other. Except for all the ones that don’t after Classic. Beauty and her kids certainly don’t, not do any of the ones in Firelands, etc.
It’s like saying Undead mobs are immune to Fear, when they generally haven’t been immune for decades.
I’m not super surprised if someone who wasn’t around for Classic is unaware, especially since it probably won’t happen when they go back to solo stuff, and there’s no real indication in Tazavesh. There’s the random pulsey effect that happens, but if you don’t already know, you’d have no idea what that is about, until you have a respawned Hound.
well they’re not some random core hounds…they’re the same exact mob as the molten core ones - ancient core hounds…so they’re right, these molten core hounds res each other, and must be killed in a special way…it’s one of this parrticular species’ signature moves
(even though i understand what you’re trying to explain)
and as for new players that may not have been around during classic…well if you don’t know, now you know (if you see them in pairs or groups)
The mobs in Firelands are also “Ancient Core Hounds”, for whatever worth anyone places on that.
It’s actually Core Hound in Molten Core that are the ones in packs. Ancient Core Hounds are the singular pats.
ohh ok i stand corrected, you’re right. it was magmadar’s babies that had to be taken down together…it’s been so long…the ancient ones just roamed by themselves…so they just swapped mechanics.
guess we know what they do in pairs now though
I have no idea if it’s trauma or just sheer brain dysfunction that let me remember which ones are which lol.
The game probably would be better off to put a buff or something on them to indicate the mechanic actually exists.
