An Update on Shadowlands

Good job! Great decision! Thank you

This is the correct decision, Blizz. Great call. Put the work in and release an expansion when it’s ready to ship.

Oh ya, I have accepted it and have moved on lol.
Just discussing breaking news on the forums.
Nothing you need to be concerned with.

Not quitting the game or something over it.
Just disappointed.

Homes are expensive have to find some time to enjoy them. Especially after long work hours at the hospital.

But may if I may ask are you getting anywhere in life laughing at a computer screen? If so… that’s great you’ll be able to do it for a bit longer with this delay

I mean, that’s unfortunate. But people aren’t going to cry because they took time off for an expansion that’s riddled with issues and would generally be a borderline infuriating experience.

I feel for you, but you know. World-wide pandemics are a thing and them getting the time to get through what they need to do is appropriate. I think most of us are surprised they’re getting to put in the time rather than it rushing out and being another BFA.

I’m in the same boat. Looks like I’m just gonna go on a trip or something and then when the xpac releases I’ll just have to deal with being pissy that I can’t play it except for 2 hours of the day for the first week it’s out. Heh.

how’s delivering something late is good work? i wish i can say that to my boss. “hey i will deliver you the report when is ready, when that will be? not sure, but when is ready”… keep the good work!

But it’s a great reason to cause game delays right?

Ok, Karen, enjoy the refind.

I am thankful that it’s being delayed because
One: It shows that you still care about quality
Two: It shows you’re willing to risk the ire of ‘some’ of the base
Three: It shows that you seem to have learned from past happenings.

All this together makes me even more excited to play SL and hang around this wonderful game. Please, take the time needed. We can wait

At the end of the day, a buggy expansion would’ve hosed customers much more than 4 weeks notice on a delay.

Can you not reschedule??? What kind of company do you work for… The original release is still 3 weeks out. If you can’t cancel and move vacation around that far in advance, find a new job.

Sure hope you send out more beta keys since we will have NOTHING else to do

Blizzard is just playing the Baldur’s Gate 3 early access content.

Most companies don’t allow you to reschedule, only ones I’ve ever been employed at that did were not careers, but jobs.

Yes! So proud of you guys. Standing up for the health and quality of your project and doing what’s in the best interest of your fans rather than compromising it for shareholders and suits. This is such good news!

Almost every game this year has been delayed. Only a very few came out on time. People who have played the Beta can feel that it’s not a finished game yet (balance issues, bugs, etc.)

It needs more time. We’re lucky Blizzard cares enough to try to make the game good.

Burning Crusade was delayed. Delays aren’t bad. Thank you so much for doing this, and ensuring that the next 2 years will be great. Love to all of you and the Dev staff, whoever happens to come across this.
