An Update on Shadowlands

Yeesh. That sounds absolutely awful.

I can’t imagine any company actually operating like that. To have such employee logistical problems, insane.

I’m actually glad to see this, and I say that as someone who’s been saying for at least a month that they’d never do this.

It’s the right call.

Yah, I’m fine with this, well done Blizzard. I’ll have another go at beta, I suppose, to help out.

Medical field, need a minimum amount of workers. Each day only had 2-3 vacation slots available.

As much as I wanna play Shadowlands, I agree this is the best call. The previous release date always felt way too soon to me.

Good job, Blizzard! You made the right call.

I understand that a lot of people have been inconvenienced by this sudden change of plans, seeing as so many of us have taken off a week of work to enjoy the expansion to the best of our abilities. But, let’s also remember this.

BFA was rushed and thrown out with many. MANY bugs. It was a terrible expansion because they refused to take the time to polish it and figure things out to try and make it more enjoyable. By far, the feedback for Shadowlands has been the most positive response that they’ve had for an expansion in years. (From what I’ve seen.) They want to get this right because so many of us are watching them and waiting for them to get it done.

Would you rather enjoy the expansion for all it was hyped up to be at Blizzcon? Or spam the forums because of bugs and things that could’ve been worked out with more time in testing?

Not only this, but so much has been impacted thanks to Covid-19. So much of what they’re doing is being done from home, meaning they can’t get it done in their original work environment. They are working very hard to make this expansion a success, and we, as the player base, should be happy that they even decided to push it back. That this was even a topic of discussion.

This year has been crazy and this news is just more to pile on top of 2020. But, at least we can finish this year off right by being able to play Shadowlands when it’s ready and working as intended.

Thank you, Blizzard, for doing such a great job so far!

good good. Fix all the bugs.

My dude, you spent vacation time on a game that wasn’t even released yet during a global pandemic that has resulted in almost universal game delays across the board.

You did this to yourself.

Then use that time to do something else you like. Read a book, learn to paint, gardening, whatev. Its not cause you cant play a single game that your whole 1 week off is lost. If it’s the case, you need something else in your life.

I have taken off every expansion release and it’s never been an issue.

Many are looking forward to leveling new chars with the level squish!

Can we maybe get an open beta at least? D:

Finally, now you can take all the time you need to finally fix Survial Hunter and make it playable. For the love of the light please fix Survival, its so much fun but needs mega polish.

I’m soooo glad you guys decided to do this! It really is for the best.

Thank you Blizz! Please take your time and give us a solid product to enjoy!

Exactly, I put my PTO in last week for the launch. Very upsetting.

Blizz just proved they have no regards to plans for people or their real life constraints. Had they done this two weeks ago I might have thought differently. I understand the need to polish etc, but wrecking havoc on anyone that adjusted plans/took pto/etc for this expansion with 25 days left kinda sucks.

So I’m thinking you’ll get a weeks notice “HEY GUYZ ITZ DONE NOW GIVES US MONIEZ”
