I have tried everything mentioned and still can’t see Anduin in the throne room. I have already completed the Darkshore questline and party sync doesn’t work for me even when I group with someone who can see him. I tried doing the Argus intro quests to see if maybe I would get Anduin instead of Turalyon but that didn’t help either. Stuck here and don’t know what to do.
EDIT: So after grouping with 6 different people and doing the party sync I finally got it to work. Its important to group with someone lower level and have them be lead in the group and then do party sync. Finally got Anduin to continue on the quest.
Any news on how to get around this ? I am Leveling alts and cant get them capes because of this bug. Happening for me on Alli and Horde.

I dropped “An Unwelcome Advisor” then completed the event for “Whispered Winds” in the war room, then hearthed back to Boralus, logged off and then back on again and Anduin popped back up, gave me “An Unwelcome Advisor”, went back to the throne room and he was there.

I can’t believe this hasn’t been hotfixed yet with the free weekend going on. I haven’t played much since BfA released and was excited to wrap up the content on my warrior. Except I can’t even start the VIsions of N’Zoth quest chain because of this bug.

For me, Anduin was stuck at Broken Shore pending the completion of the “The King’s Path” quest line at the stage “A Walk to Remember” specifically. Upon completing the chain, I went back to Stormwind and when I entered the throne room he phased in. It took me about an hour’s worth of research to figure this out. This is hot garbage Blizzard. Fix it ffs…

I have abandoned EVERY other quest, and he won’t show up OP was October. Blizz…FIX THIS NOW.
I am having the same Problem, I accidentally abandoned the quest on my Alliance Character and have no way of getting it back. I have tried Logging in and out of Boralus and my friend made a level 1 and we turned on party sync which nothing worked.

An unwelcome advisor quest was never offered to my alt after completing the heart forge questline, tried everything under the sun for the past 3 days and still no good.
Opened a ticket but it seems they don’t really care about fixing anything reported there, just generic responses about posting it on the forums and disabling addons.
It’s becoming a joke that some characters everything works and some just don’t no matter what you do.
