accepted quest then logged off as a test after both just afking till autolog off and manually logging off after a min from getting the quest, quest is gone and Bobadormu has it as acceptable from him again in both cases.
Just posting to voice that I am also having this issue. Just started this morning when collecting all the quests at the Caverns of Time event area
Can confirm that it’s still broken (level 80). A friend of mine is also experiencing this with his level 78 toon.
Noticed this issue on my main toon. I uninstalled my addon manager, set “Cache”, “GPU” and “WTF” folders to “[name]Old” (open WoW program file folder > open retail folder > rename folders) and did a whirlwind of log outs and PC resets and about 20 min after it was all said and done the quest was tracking and not auto-deleting/abandoning. I’m having the same issue on 2 of my alt toons now though. Posting to hopefully get notified with a fix.

I am having the same issue as well. Tried logging everything off and rebooting, but nothing changed
This worked perfectly on one character then bugged on another.

What I have found on this bug is if you completed it at least last week it is broken for you this week. Not sure on 80 version of the quest as when you hit 80 you are given a new version of the quest, but can confirm if you do the pre 80 last week it is broken for you this week. All that did it last week have failed to get past 1, while everyone that did not has worked without issue. Only guess is the weekly reset did not fully reset this quest and will break during the 5 because it stuck between still not eligible and eligible for a new weekly. Hopefully one of the programmers will read this and be able to correct the issue at some point.
Update: abandoned all pending anniversary quests so that I just had the “An Original Path Through Time” quest, then tried the timewalking dungeons. So far, it hasn’t auto-abandoned the quest and I’m 2/5 so far.

Same problem here and besides, I noticed that the problem occurs with the same character who is having a problem in the quest Special Assignment: Storm’s a Brewin from Siren Isle. I don’t know if that’s the case with you too.
Found that this works if you level up between 70-80 and then pick the weekly at 80 it doesn’t get auto abandoned. This still doesn’t fix the problems for those characters already level 80 picking up the quest.
