Please don’t troll in such an important post. I actively afk outside of cities in wrath areas all the time on Arugal and have never once seen you or any other “pvper”. Troll!

Yes, I am quite certain the people who say that PvP no longer happens on PvP servers are those that simply buy their gold, log in for raid days, hang about in Dalaran, and log out again.
For anyone who does anything else like gather, level alts, do world events, etc. I am quite sure it is a completely different story altogether.

Has nothing to do with fear. Does that mean the strictly pvp players are scared of raids? I love pvp,but rarely do it in the open world,as I’m usually busy with other stuff.
Warmode is terrible

A lot of the server transfers are actually being done exactly BECAUSE of fear though. There is a lot of speculation that this is just a prelude to closing down the Remulos server due to low population and forcing transfers over to Arugal. Most people taking this free and unannounced server transfer think they are getting the “jump” on Activision/Blizzard and are taking advantage of the free offer simply due to fear that they will eventually have to pay for a transfer later when Activision/Blizzard DOES make their announcement.
It’s very similar to a speculative run on banks and/or the hording of foodstuffs during a crisis. Both of which are often due to any lack of communication from the authorities about what exactly is going on. I was hoping to get some information from Activision/Blizzard about their intentions in order to either confirm or deny these fears, but I guess I really should have known better.
But as they say, you often never know unless you try.

the fear is that blizzard will close the server before they are done with ICC which is a valid concern
Leveling guilds should prob swap off remulos ASAP tho, Darklions has decided to stay until its no longer viable to continue
Blizzard needs to just add Warmode and then merge all oce servers.

If people dont have warmode on, then it sounds like they don’t want world pvp.

even tho it would benefit me greatly, im not for that as warmode is pretty annoying on retail itd need to be improved
I think the easier answer is this: Since I have been informed both here and on the Remulos Discord server that “World PvP no longer happens on Arugal”, how about we just change the server to a PvE one?
It would assuage the last holdouts I would think who simply do not want to transfer to a PvP server. And since there is no World PvP happening on Arugal anymore from what I have been told, why not simply make it a win-win for both sides?

This has made me so angry. I have zero interest in a PVP server or PVPing, so we’re staying put. However, with those who have transferred already, it has effectively killed the server.

Week 2 of the exodus, the poster of this has left, the community is starting to be impacted, however a trend is forming. Only the guilds unwilling to pug seem to be leaving.
It does. You just have to encounter that one a-hole who decided to level up an alt of the opposite faction on a faction dominant server.

The exodus does indeed continue. Many people are scared that Activision/Blizzard are intending to bleed Remulos of people so that it then can then justify closing it as a “low pop” realm. Many are also scared that if they don’t take this free transfer they will then have to pay for a transfer when said server closure is announced. We have tried to explain that even if Activision/Blizzard does indeed decide to close the server they will just offer free transfers then just as they did for Yojamba, but as they said in Men in Black: “A person can be smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals…”
As for me, I have NOT left. Nor will I transfer servers. I have no desire to play Horde nor move to a server where I will be griefed and ganked. Several of the members of my former guild made the move and have reported what I always knew: That the reports of NO World PvP happening on Arugal are completely false and are either outright lies or made by people who never leave Dalaran and other sanctuary areas. Several have expressed their disappointment at taking the free move as they do not want or cannot afford to purchase a server transfer back to Remulos and Activision/Blizzard insidiously have made the transfers only free one way.
Meanwhile the people who desire to stay have all been drifting towards the guilds that have also elected to stay. My wife and I have found a nice guild to join and I have heard from people who have returned to Remulos that they also have found homes with new guilds. The silence from Activision/Blizzard about this unannounced free one-way transfer has confirmed for most of us on Remulos that they don’t really care about our server or community so it will be up to us to make it a good one.
