Just had Pattern: Blue Lumberjack Shirt drop in ICC.
TSM says 188k sell price and every source Im looking at shows 6 digits on the price too.
Is this even feasible for an old content pattern, lol?
Who would pay that much?
Considering how many people buy shirts, it wouldn’t be impossible to make that money back fairly quickly.
I keep a rousing shirt market going on my server.
Also completionists are crazy people.

A collector who did not have it, while they desired it 188 K worth.
Some of that stuff you should take with a grain of salt. You could put that up on your server, for 188 K, with it sitting there for eons. You could even mention it on your server forums, still with no bites. Some people resort to making a post in general, advertising such a thing, even saying they’ll transfer to someone else’s server to sell it to them (though usually the “value” of the item is closer to a million gold, before someone offers that.)

I wonder if I should just keep it? I have tailoring on the panda that it dropped for and I dont have the pattern.
I just wondered if that price was exaggerated due to someone shifting gold between factions thru the AH or something

eh…I guess I can post it a couple dozen times and see if it sells.
If not, I can use it myself, I guess, and maybe sell the shirts or something. Tailoring and enchanting are the only crafting I enjoy anymore anyway.

I mean, Ive been thru ICC tons of times but I dont think Ive ever gotten a tailoring pattern before now.
It is a random WotLK drop. It can drop off any level 80 enemy (guess any enemy there now since they all scale), but at a very low chance. Kind of like orbs of deception or the super simian sphere (I know that is bop).
Think just rare
I’d try to sell it a couple of times at that price and if it doesn’t sell then just learn it and make some shirts. That is a snazzy looking shirt! I might need to go buy one.

I just bought one on my server(stormrage) for 141 gold, pattern is only worth 44k there it seems. Just fyi.
Do you really need that gold?
Is the thought of having a likely rare but overall pointless shirt skin you can make matter to you?
Do you value your time? Are you prepared to spend the time and energy it will likely take to relist until selling?
All pertinent questions. Personally I would rather learn the pattern and not want to spend the effort on an eventual payment even if I dont care about shirts persay
Do your own research. Don’t let a computer screen tell you something.
I see unsophisticated sellers all the time on the AH, don’t give something away so i can make a bundle on it and don’t listen to some third party software to tell you what something is worth. It is a guideline price…not an absolute.

yeah. I looked at Wow Auction and Wowhead…both show 6 figures forthe pattern, but Iknow that can be manipulated by people like me using it to swap money between factions…

It does seem to be worth at least tens of thousands.
Kinda tempting at this point to just keep the pattern myself and make the shirts to sell.
Maybe see if it sells or not and if not, just do that.

Im used to hundreds of gold for patterns unless its like some awesome weapon for transmog

yeah, that’ll be the thing. Lots of those shirts being sold, so who knows.
I dont have the pattern on my tailor, so if nothing else I can just use it myself.
I honestly didnt think a basic nothing kinda shirt would sell for that much. I never see anyone wearing the mogs for them.
