I think you could have stated the discussion along with the link as it was kind of strange that you were trying to dodge stating what was actually stated in the video.

On topic, I think his statement means that the only changes blizzard is planning on making is those to make it work with their current infrastructure and support system. By this I mean that the game is going to be as similar to classic as possible however things like right click to report and loot trading are probable going to be in the game due to blizzards automated support structure and reduced direct customer support.

Yeah it for sure would, but we all know what blizzards general plan for classic so we know this wouldn’t happen. Well… most of us do, there are still people who think transmog is still on the table.

Honestly I wasn’t sure (and I’m still not) if discussing what he said is kosher on this forum, which is why I was being so cagey at first. But what the heck. The thread will be deleted if it’s not OK.

Thanks for sharing, i hope this guy finds decent enough work, lay off’s are always tough.

OMG dude he said something about no changes CONSPIRACY!

I thought this was common knowledge by now. I’ve talked about this already in other posts. People can choose to ignore this but I have no reason to believe that Yth would lie.

Clicks for a streamer!? this is important information. Yth knows more than any of us what is going on at Blizz with Classic. He obviously can’t go into detail because of the NDA but he has no reason to lie. People who think its just about clicks for a streamer are probably just mad that he said no changers were going to win more than everyone realizes.

You do realize the original OP mentioned none of that?

The game was always going to be 99% no-changes. It’s the 1% that we’ve been arguing about for over a year now.

Yeah, sorry I assumed everyone had checked it out. I guess I already knew what he was posting.

Guys check out the link. The man Ythisens himself (Sakaar on twitch) says that no changers are going to win more than they think they are. I believe that is a direct quote. I don’t know why the OP had to be so vague about it.

Yes I know that. A lot of people refuse to believe that though.

Hah. Well, a lot of people refuse to believe the 99% part, tbh. That is why the quote is significant, IMO.

Yet, you aren’t posting what they said…(in the initial post) You are telling us there is info to be had and leaving our only method to find out is by going to that link.

Maybe not intentionally, but you are most definitely advertising for him

Edit: It’s not an accusation, just clarifying that this is a very basic form of advertising. I get that wasn’t your main reason for posting though, which is good.

you can call it lazy, but 1.12 is what they have.

remaking the early stuff would greatly add to the cost, and there probably would be no classic at all if they didnt still have 1.12

Guess what else have (close enough to) 1.12 and do not cost anything to play on?

“Remaking” is what they avoided by choosing 1.12 as the foundation. It is much easier to adjust spawns and elements that have already been built than to attempt to build them from scratch. Take AV for example: they could take the 1.12 version and add the mobs back in and tweak their elite status and stats back to the earlier versions, but not revert the map to the original with minefields/shredder. Same with Strat and Scholo: those would be a simple replacement of deleted mobs.
