Ok bub, if you’re not interested in having a serious discussion…
You’re the one not having a discussion lol, you’re pretty much just saying you played an enhancement shaman 15 years ago im blue gear and 1 shot people sometimes
Thats hardly an argument for pvp viability
Well except they are. They can tank very niche situations but outside of that you will be better just bringing a warrior.
Stopped reading there.
I hope you have a great day.
Lol, comes in about " not having an actual discussion "
Proceeds to ignore what is said because it doesn’t fit his narrative
They are not optimal in every situation, but i don’t think it is the end of the world if your main tank is a druid. The gap isn’t as large as say ret paladin against a fury warrior.
Whatever helps you sleep at night, bub. Take care
Was wondering the same thing. Here I was thinking I played a lot… having two toons 40+ in about half the time.
In gaming “a lot” is such a subjective term. I’ve seen people who play longer than that but claim they’re “very casual.”
That’s because OP is a fraud.
Like the UD Rogue(s) above mentioned, the OP likes to hear himself talk, and argue for the sake of arguing.
If that’s true, I’d give him a 10/10 for getting so many bites.
It’s doable in the lower end content. And sure if there’s no other option it works, given the choice though a warrior is almost always a better choice.
I… fed the troll… for shame
I asked this in another thread, but it wasn’t answered; it probably got lost in the other arguments.
Wasn’t Enhancement intended to be a tanking tree for Shamans? (Regardless of whether it actually worked.)
If so, I would expect its DPS to be (relatively) lousy. Your comments suggest that it does a great job of drawing aggro without even trying. I wonder if Protection Paladins would show similarly lousy DPS.
Enhancement was thought of as a hybrid DPS/tank tree at one point during beta, but became a mostly-pure DPS tree by the time of release, and even more so during the shaman talent review of 1.11.
It’s not a tank tree in the same way that Protection is. It’s more comparable to Feral, if Feral was 90% cat and 10% bear.
Thank you for the explanation. That explains all the survival talents therein, then.
Its his report based on early data. We know this. And I’d still rather have it than not.
Not I.
Reports based on bad sampling are of little to no use. It paints a bad picture for those looking for guidance.
Intel is intel. Intel always has value.
Can people make bad desicions based on intel? Yes. Can people misinterpret? Yes. Can people add meaning that isn’t there? Yes.
But that’s not the fault of the data.
I’m sorry but no. Bad sampling is bad sampling.
If I ran a dungeon and some Undead Priest called everyone names, that does not mean people should blacklist Undead Priests.
Data has to be taken appropriately. And if you make decisions based on a small sample of qualitative data, especially knowing that it requires a very large sample size, shame on you.
