In DoS there are 10 pieces that could drop for me. And a timed key award 2 pieces for 5 people. That gives me about a 4% chance to loot the specific piece i want per run.
(2/5)*(1/10)*100
So on average the piece I want should be awarded after 25 runs.
If every run is 40 minutes, then I have to spend on average 16.6 hours running DoS, and that is just actually doing the dungeon, not forming the group and etc,etc
On my 27th run of DoS since the xpac dropped, a week before 9.0.5, i looted my first ever Blood splattered scale of any ilvl
Now i am faced with the same thing all over again, with the potential to be much more unlucky.
Why canât we upgrade gear from before the patch ? just because they didnât want degenerate use of the item restore service ??
feel for you. The games just not fun no matter how Iâve tried to like SL. Honestly pet battles are looking more enjoyable at this point. They really messed this game up with the level squish and expansion all at once.
Botched the game real bad, but on the positive side, the pugs are getting better because the casuals are dropping like flies.
Itâs always a mistake to âdo the mathâ in this game as you break your own immersion when you realize just how crazy it is to play a game with time requirements like this one.
Maybe you just grew out of the game? Usually as you get older you have more demands on your time, and a person becomes more selective with how they wish to spend it. Stuff that was once fun begins to feel like a waste of valuable time.
You donât have to do it. If you only need a few specific pieces do the smart thing and do mythic0. Especially in a class stacked group you have a much higher chance of getting the piece that you want.
Then you can just upgrade it from there. Sure it will cost a bit more, but for those big ticket items like trinkets and weapons it honestly is probably worth the effort.
Thatâs helpful advice. Itâs also based in reality. But I think I still try to enjoy the game, I just find it unable to be happy when proceeding through the avenues that I used to. Theyâve been stretched out in length for the same if not diminished reward.
Welcome to modern WoW. Designed to put a damper on progression/completion by people who have no jobs, thus negatively impacting everyone else already behind them on the treadmill.
Blood-Splattered Scale is insanely good, which is almost certainly what OP is talking about. This isnât a âIf you donât like the Maw, donât go thereâ situation because thereâs a big gap. Top Druid in the world was using a 210 Blood-Splattered Scale instead of a 226 or 233 Trinket because itâs just that good for M+.
What I meant was people are making a mountain out of a molehill, thereâs no point to fret refarming things if you already have them right now because youâre going to be doing it in 3 months again anyway with new fresh ilvl.
I ran HoA 7 times to get Sin Stained Pendant. However, I am okay with that because I needed the Valor Points in order to upgrade it from 210 to 220. Works out.
