An Authentic WoW Classic Gaming Story - PvP Battle in South Shore

After learning about the coming Cataclysm expansion disaster, I was very disappointed so I decided to log onto my lvl 32 prot paladin on the Whitemane WoW Classic PvP server. I am prot specced for questing, pvp and tanking in low level dungeons. Prot has a 3# hit rating talent which makes it much easier to hit higher level enemies such as higher level horde in world pvp. I decided to do a quest killing Murlocs along the Seashore near SS. I had no delusions about the area being a horde-free zone. In fact I expected and even relished horde opposition. I got more than I bargained for.

After killing a few Murlocs, I noticed a 35 Human warrior and invited him to group with me as Murloc Oracles were giving us some trouble. That is when we got jumped by a lvl 40 female(avatar) Tauren cat druid. As an experienced Paladin PvP player who had more than 50,000 HKs less than halfway through Vanilla WoW I reacted instinctively to the cat druids kiting, hit and run tactics. I had already put Seal/Judgement of Justice on my main toolbar in preparation for preventing both horde and Murlocs from escaping my wrath. The best way to defeat a cat druid is to stun, snare and slow them and turn their kiting tactics against them. My warrior partner lacked by pvp experience and tried to defeat the wily Tauren druid with brute force which failed miserably.

In our first encounter, I nearly killed the surprised cat druid by stunning, snaring, kiting and nearly killing her. Yes I bubbled and healed but more importantly, I kept her from escaping while I did so. I got her down to about 5% health but she got me due to her 8 levels on me and obvious twink gear. She became much more cautious after that, camping both me and my warrior friend and attempting to kill me before I could spawn, mana and heal up. That worked a few times but after our first battle I had no doubt I could catch the Tauren cat druid short on pvp cooldowns and finish her off. It was obvious to me that I was the more experienced PvP combatant and sooner or later, if the Tauren hung around, that experience would pay off. I coached my warrior friend to use fear, hamstring and bleed on the cat which helped him some with fighting the tauren druid.

I did catch the cat druid low on cooldowns, judged justice on her repeatedly and ran her down, kited and killed her. It was a very satisfying and WoW Classic PvP experience. I had no resilience pvp gear, just what greens and blues I could cobble together as I am leveling up. It was a pure test of WoW pvp skill and endurance.

Blizzard,

This is the authentic wow classic gaming experience we came back to classic to experience. Please stop trying to take it away from us by forcing an unwanted expansion patch upon us and not allowing us to continue to play BC Classic and WotLK classic.

I hope you are listening. If you dont listen, you are going to lose a lot of loyal wow players and customers.

Signed,

A happy wow classic player

Sorry posted it on my other account. Reposted here.

I like a happy ending.
Happy as in good pvp times.
Bet the druid hung around because they had fun too.
Hope that’s why.
